Introduction
The report discuss the case study of enterprise resource planning. Many organization
in these world have move from the concept of standing alone to adapting enterprise resource
planning(Al-SabriAl-Mashariand Chikh2018). The purpose and scope that the organization
achieves by involving enterprise resource planning. These report discussed that how Comp
group which was established in the year of 1993 faced some problem with the existing
infrastructure o solve the issues that was faced by the organization adapted the enterprise
resource planning. There are several steps that are employed for implementing enterprise
resource planning(Brunnertand Krcmar2017). There is a change in the structure of the
management by introducing enterprise resource planning

Purpose and Scope of ERP
The main purpose of a business to adapt the enterprise resource planning is to enhance
the capabilities of a business. Performance of the organization can also be improved by
undertaking better decision in the business. ERP also help in achieving a good competitive
advantage within the marketplace. Re-engineering that includes an essential approach is used
to achieve improvement for the important business processes. The main reason for
developing ERP is increasing need for the re-engineering (Seethamraju 2015). The paper
discuss about a failed case of implementing the SAP R/3 in the organization. A study reveals
about of the project by the employment of SAP R/3 in re-engineering. These includes the
change different aspects of human behavior, change in structures, change in the cultures,
roles of the IT and the factors that are responsible for failures (Sederaet al. 2016). SAP R/3
was implemented so that the challenges that are faced by the organization can be easily
removed. The organization expected that the it will provide a wide range of solutions to the
