Introduction
 Learning and development empowers an individual to improve their skills, knowledge and
capabilities in order to perform better.
 Learning is basically concerned with the acquisition of cognitions and attitude and development
assist in providing profound knowledge so that the goals of the business can be achieved.
 Learning and development is important because it basically provides the way in order to address
all the requirements and needs of human. It can also be improved through learning by bounds and
leaps as well. When employees or people made improvements in themselves then they are viewed
as the favourable terms at the organisational level.

Definition of coaching
 Coaching refers to the method of training that is provided to an individual in
order to develop skills and knowledge so that their performance can be improved
by enhancing their productivity.
 The instructions are provided by the supervisors to do the particular task in an
effective way by closing observation, accountability and feedback on the
progress.
 Coaching is very important because it act as the powerful and has the positive
impact on the self confidence, work performance and wellness as well. When the
coaching is received into the professional terms then their team members have
the improvement in terms of out of box manner and also gives their results into
positive form to the organisation.

Critical evaluation of coaching models
GROW coaching model: This is a model which was introduced by Sir John
Whitmore which indicates that learning can be made through experience. There
are four components of the GROE model which are outlined as under:

 Options

Coaching self-assessment tool
Self assessment refers to the evaluation of one's own performance
where information is gathered about the skills, competencies and
talent and determine where they are needed to be improved. The
coaching assessment tools are described as under:
 Process evaluation scale
 The leader competency inventory
 The leadership skills inventory

Identification of two key areas of
development
 Development refers to the process of growth or new information or the event due
to which individual can grow themselves into faster peace manner.
 Development of an individual is very necessary according to changing period of
time so that individual can grow themselves into positive manner.
 Development is very important because it help the companies in terms of
retaining and gaining the top talent which improves the productivity and also they
can earn profits on a larger scale
 Without development it is impossible to achieve success in their career into result
oriented form.

 SWOT Analysis: It refers to the strategic planning and strategic management
technique which has been used in order to help a person or for the organisation to
identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats which is related to the
competition of business or project planning as well.
 Personal SWOT analysis can help an individual in terms of avoiding the unforeseen
mistakes.

 Team work: It refers to the collaborative effort of a group which is required to
achieve a common goal or to complete the task within the most efficient and
effective manner as well.
 It can be seen from the bigger perspective of a team which is basically the group
of independent individuals who work into together form towards achieving the
common goal.

achieve success at the professional and at the academic level as well.

 Development plan: A development plan basically refers to the
documentation of goals, required skill and competency development
which a staff member is required in order to accomplish the support
into continuous manner and career development.
 Development plan is important because it supports in terms of up
skilling the workforce which encourages employees in order to
identify their strengths and also build upon their weaknesses as well.

Team work For developing team work skill it
is very important that to
participate into the projects and
take part into different activities
which are based on the team
working(Herodotou., 2018).
For developing team working skill
there is requirement of feedback
from senior persons, colleagues and
friends as well. The feedback and
support system from friends and
colleagues help me in terms of
whether I am improving or not in
terms of developing this skill
I will measure the success
through success of completion of
project within a set period of time
so that it can be analysed that
whether the team work is
worthwhile or not.

Problem solving For developing the problem
solving skill it is very important
to take challenges into
appropriate manner so that
individual has the habit of taking
challenges and problems into
positive manner. For developing
this skill, it is very important that
to take more and more challenges
whether it is at professional level
or at academic or personal level
For developing this skill, there is
requirement of support system
from seniors and colleagues as
well (Kilgo and et.al., 2015). It is
important to have focus point so
that root cause problem can be
find out
I will measure the success
through accomplishing challenges
within a set period of time which
will enhances the confidence
level into positive manner

 According to GROW model, these two weak areas can be improved into
positive manner and this model basically stands for Goal, Current reality,
options and will as well.
 For developing team working skill it is very important to have proper
target towards it so that accordingly decision can be taken for it.
 When goal has not been targeted then its not clear in the individual mind
that what they want to achieve in their future or what they want to
develop in their personality.

 According to the OSKAR model, it has been observed that it is more focused
towards the solutions of problems rather than the problems on themselves.
 The OSKAR model basically stands for outcome, scale, know how affirm
plus action and review as well.
 For developing problem solving skill it is very important that to focus on
finding out the solutions of problems rather than the problems then
automatically outcome can be achieved into positive manner.

Conclusion
The above stated report concludes that learning and development is very important
from the individual and organisational point of view. It has been concluded that
without development and learning it is impossible for an individual to grow
themselves into positive manner. It has been concluded that coaching is very
important for an individual overall growth because a coach can identify the
weaknesses and can also direct them that how they can achieve their targets into
successful manner.
