INTRODUCTION
Communication is the art of conveying a message to one person to another person. It is
the action that has been performed by one person to another person in the form of exchanging of
thoughts and messages or information. In this present report communication in health and social
care has been discussed. In this context, different theories and approaches of communication has
been discussed. Also, various skills that are required in the aspect of a social care organization. It
has been said that there are many strategies that are use to support the users of health and social
care services with specific communication. In addition to this, in this present report, it has also
been discussed that communication process is also influenced by various values and cultural
factors. Also. Legislation and codes of practice impact on the health and social care practices that
are been operated in social care home.

Communication is a process of convey the information as well as message to one person
to another person or group. Communication process involved the two components to exchange
the information. One sender and second one is receiver. It is a channel or sending and receiving
the message by the communication process(Moss, 2015). There are two types of communication
first one is verbal and second one is non verbal. Verbal communication is possible by the
verbally speaking to exchange their views and ideas to another person. Non verbal
communication is possible to the sign, gestures, hand movement and also the emotion and
attitude to convey the information. Communication process is also include the seven elements
that can make communication effective the first element is sender who is send and convey the
message and passing the information, second is ideas which included the opinion views as well
as suggestions, third is encoding which is intangible, words and action, fourth is communication
channel that is included the formal and informal channels, fifth is receiver who is receiver the
message and understand the message to effectively manner, sixth is decoding which is convert
the message in good manner to understand easily, and the last element is feedback that is the
process of the review regarding the information and also to know the message and these all

factors are made the communicating process is effective(Dickinson and O'Flynn, 2016).
Communication process is also influenced by the values and cultural factors which is related to
health care home there is a many services can be uses in a different way as well as dissimilar
background. Culture factors are involved the society in the communication process that is shows
the peoples attitude and culture to get effective information by the communication process to
better understanding. Values is the process of how we can behave in the management it shows
the individually a overview of the person and also define the system. The communication
process can be influence the values as well as culture factor within the organisation as society.
And is also suggest that how can communicate within the health and social care field and
enhance the extraction to useful service that can improve the culture and values of the person.
Communication process is a continue process to evaluation of the message as well as
information.
As per the case it is examine that there is lack of exchange of information take place
because health care ambulance not came on time. It is clearly identified that an organisation have
lack of values although their staff members do not communicate with each other properly.

practice is written process which issued by the professional alliance. It is also helps in define the
risk of the company as well as safe customers of providing the better goods and services. The
legislation is impact on the communication process which is the more number of roles that are
support workers in health care services. In the code of practice the definition of the standard or

Government have to formulate some rules and regulation on such basis if care proposed
any kind of delay in proper functioning patient can sue against them in court. Also by conducting
the case it is measure that hospital have lack of code of conduct because doctor did not show a
single concern towards the patient.

are the pointer or key viewers you can say audiences because they often related with the sole of
other audiences. by engagement of more employees communication will become strong with

Organisation have to formulate such policies and bound their doctors as well as
communicator receptionist to flow proper information. Good communication practise can lead in
saving the life of an innocent as well as also helps in promoting the good behaviour of the
doctors.

As discussed above that communication plays a very crucial role in all aspects in the
organization. There are many processes that hoe we improve communication in health and social
care. Effective communication skills help you to maintain strong relationships with colleges,
management and families and at same time important in addressing and requesting or can say
asking information. To admire or monitor someone's health you need to ask questions, but in a
very sensitive or polite way that you are very concerned for that particular person. It's a very easy
and simplest way to cope up with person and what are the processes or steps you take to improve
his or her condition and wellness. By good or fair dealing with the patients the patient
automatically obeys you and also you interaction effects on his or her health. There are certain
barriers like language and cultural barriers ,lack of understanding, inaccurate or incorrect
information, severe health conditions but we can overcome these barriers by following methods:-
By making changes in the environment- like adopting some advance methods by changing in the
environmental conditions of the hospitals for example lighting, good telephone services,
requirements related with patients, medical stores, guest rooms etc(Hewitt and Harris 2015). The
second barrier is language problem has been facing by the patients to overcome this situation by
working with people who understands language needs preferences and who may have sensory
impermanent s and disabilities . By developing the appropriate competency and adopting the
new methods of interaction to meet a variety of requirements can help to maintain or make
positive bondings or relationships with the patient and surroundings. Make sure you are speaking
very clearly, slowly and listen properly the message should be conveyed and delivered to you
means that the person whom you communication understands you like your voice is clear and
audible to him and vice versa, especially when working with the person has learning disability

or hearing impermanent s. Effectual communication helps a person feels secure , respected and
safe. It permits individual to express their requirement or need and concerns. Effectual
interaction is very necessary in health and social care environment and it will be very beneficial
in future prospectus.
The communicator have to pass on the information by using appropriate medium and
provide a satisfactory service to them. In case of delay they have to pass on a message to the
patient and its family that they do not have proper medium to take the patient to their social care.
This helps in showing their concern about the patient and they can save a life of an innocent
person.

effective communication and its skills. Also, various strategies in respect of communication has
been discussed. In this report, it is further obstinate that organizational structure impacts the in

organization should improve the communication process so that there will be no conflicts in their
