INTRODUCTIONCounselling is a belief and a strategic process in which the counsellor provide an insight tothe persons who are in trouble. It is a systematic approach in which the feelings and emotions of thepeople are addressed (McLeod, 2013). So that a new mould can be given to them. It is a process inwhich the matters are discussed and resolved by a mutual communication and conversation. Thestudy is based on the role of counselling. The purpose of the analysis is to find out significance ofcounselling and address those elements which are related with it. TASK Counselling skills are very important to convince the people. It is the process in which thecounsellor and the client both set aside and decide to resolve the matters. This can enable him tofocus on feelings, experience and behaviour. Counselling is a helping approach in which thecounsellor has to work on the matters which are related with the clients. The role of him is to speakfreely with the persons and top know about the matters which are related with the clients.Counsellor is not emotionally involve with the issues of the client (Sherr and et.al. 2007). He has tojust listen the persons and then to provide the assassinate as per the need and demand of thesituation. The counsellor has to approach the main and core matters which are related with theclients and he will have to take the decisions accordingly. Counselling is conducted on the matterswhen the people do not get the idea that what to do and they feel themselves in a dilemma. It is theprocess which is used for resolving the matters related with the persons and it is professionalapproach. Some times the counselling can be done in the friend circle and in family matters also. Init there is no need of the professional experience, people provide the assistance on the basis of theirexperience towards the life and situations. Thus it is a approach, in it the counsellor has to work forthe people who are in trouble or in such metal state that they are unable to understand the coreprinciples and values. Effective listening is the great tool which can be opt by the counsellor and hehas to listen the problems and matters of the clients, and then has to take a decision (Hardcastle andet.al. 2008). He is liable to convince the people and make them aware about the procedures andpolicies which can be adopted for resolving the matters. Counsellor has to attach emotionally withthe people and then has to make feel comfort them. By this they can be able to tell each and everyconflict of them with him. It is essential for the counsellor to have good communication skills,knowledge and experience. He should also have the practical approach by this he will be able tounderstand the situations and matters more smoothly.It is very important for the counsellor to have good sense of humour, along with this he musthave all the potential which can be assist able for him in taking the decisions (McLeod, 2011).
