INTRODUCTION
Here in the study the OHS policies are related with the legislation requirement, roles and also
responsibilities resources required and how to maintain procedures are discussed in detail. The
alternatives of and risk management systems all are discussed in detail.
Banksia Grove Shopping Centre is a Australian public company which is having its operation in
Conglomerate. The organization was founded in the year 2014. The organization consists of
retail shops as well as supermarkets. OHS is the organization which takes care of the issues
related with the safety, health and also the welfare of workplace. Because if the working
conditions are good then it is a symbol of good employee morale and perfect image of the brand.
1. OHS SYSTEMS
1.1 OHS Policies of the organization complying legislative requirements
OHS policies of MCS are maintaining the hazard protection equipment in which the company
takes care of the level of the harming elements of the machinery. MCS coordinate OHS onsite
and is responisble for all the safety related to onsite. As an security employee it is responsibility
of the employee to check whether the health of the employees in the company is affected due to
this or not and it is affecting the OHS Act of Australia which is it is mandatory to check and
maintain the equipment. As per the act and also equipment must be in ready condition in order to
protect the company from the hazard. As per the section 19 training of the employees plays a
integral role for the safety of the organization as well as employees As per the section 20 the risk
which do elimination of risk which is to health as well as safety they are risk of reasonably
practicable and the risk which are not reasonably practicable, then reasonably practicable risk
should be reduced. Example MCS increased the budget to maintain the equipment for the
welfare of the employees as per OHS Act 1984 (Occupation Safety and Health act 1984).
MCS also manages the OHS management system in which the organization provide alloy wire in
order to prevent the employees of the company from and electric shock this also affect the
Electrical safety Act 2002 under which it is must that the employees are prevented from any wire
shock otherwise the penalty is very high. Example the Banksia Grove Shopping Centre is going
to use high insulated and shock proof wire and even fires resistant wire which can enhance the
safety of employees.
1.2 OHS roles as well as responsibilities in staff
There are various role and also responsibilities of OHS and are discussed below:

Maintaining records of health and safety of the employees
The OHS design and also develops the policies for the employees’ health by keeping proper
check-up of the employee about the heath. The staff must tell the employer if the check-up of the
staff is not made. The records types are based on the PDF files on the system.
This is a typical chart in which the safety manager will report to flight safety manager and
maintenance safety officer. The these two officers will report to Director of flight operation and
Director of Maintenance and ultimately the reporting will be done to Accountable Executive.
This will be done at last when there is no solution available.
Provide medical facilities
For the employees of the Banksia Grove Shopping Center even after having safe working
conditions faced any damage in the body due to sudden electric short circuit. As per OHS
policies provide medical care facilities in which the treatment of the employee is completely free
it is equipped with first aid which available at accident prone locations. Staff responsibilities
herein is to take care of the damaged wire and inform the management immediately.
Providing training for OHS
OHS also provide training to the Banksia employees in order to make aware the rights and
responsibilities of them. For example, training about the dress code, how to deal with accidents
and how to reduce the chance of occurrence of accidents. This make them educated and forces
the company to follow the laws. The staff must ask the employer about any term which the staff
is not understanding. Induction of new employees will be given in which basis will be teached.
Fire warden and first aid warden training will be given to the employees in which how to operate
