OHS/WHS policies are the ones that clearly defines the commitment of an
organization to comply with the different kinds of the legislative policies. The OHS/WHS
policies have been the basis for the organization’s commitment to comply with the different
forms of WHS legislations and ensure the safety of the workers (Bennett, Dexter & Sakoulas,
2016). Some of the different WHS policies that needs to be followed by the management of
the companies of the organization are;
a. Clause 46 which represents the obligation to consult with the other duty holders of the
company
b. Clauses 47, 48 and 49 which provides the opportunity to the management of the
company to consult with the employees
c. Clause 50- Clauses 74 which represents Health and safety representatives
d. Clauses 60-Clauses 63 of the election of health and safety representatives
e. Clause 65 which disqualifies a health service representative if he fails to exercise his
power and rights in the best possible manner

The policies and procedures that covers the different types of the participative
agreements are a core part of the systematic approach that helps in the management of the
OHS. The policies and the procedures that are followed by the management of the
organizations must follow a certain set of process and systems that are important for the
