INTRODUCTION
In the present world, it is compulsory for an organisation to manage all the activities
which helps them in achieving target objectives. It is an essential factor because with the help of
this concern, any business whether it is small or large, the profitability and trustworthiness of
customers get increased(Sosnaet. al., 2010). For this purpose CSR is a essential term. Manager of
the firm helps in maintain the ethical environment of the business. Managing successful business
is the key factor which helps in getting the effective result. If large amount of fund is invested in
any project then its survival is compulsory otherwise it will directly affects the business growth.
In an organisation it is the moral duty of a manager to conduct all the activities properly and in a
effective manner. Manager has to break down all the activities and divide them in among the
employees according to their skills, this helps them in gaining the effectiveness of a firm.
Current assignment is based on the Charlotte Street hotel who maintain the CSR activities in
their organisation properly. Along with that also, the companies objectives are also mention in
this report. Some other important aspects are going to discuss in this essay properly.
TASK 1
P1Aims and objectives of the cited organisation
Corporate social responsibility refers to such type of business activities which helps in
the benefits of society. It refers to such condition which force the organisation to do such
activities which do not spoil the decorum of the society. Business firms have to use such steps
which not void the society and take care about the interest of the society. Like a firm can do
charity because with the help of that many people standard of living get improved or many
children can get proper education(Wirtz, Schilke and Ullrich, 2010).
The basic aim of any firm or business regarding with the CSR is that they have to
conduct all the activities in a ethical manner. Their main purpose is to fulfil the social goals
which means they have to take care about the society.
According to the cited hotel, its basic aim is just to provide effective service to their
customers in which they have to do ethical activities which do not harm their guests. CSR in the
hospitality business refers to as that they have to provide quality service to their guests with
hygienic food. Along with that they also have to do some charities in which they can take care
about the interest of poor, government authorities, shelter and remuneration and wastage. Every

hospitality organisation has these particular and own social responsibility in which they not only
take care about the social factors as well as the environmental factors. Like hotels have to use
recycle products with different ideas this helps in attracting customers as well also helps in
reducing the pollution in the environment.
Along with that cited organisation have to start forecasting such projects which are
beneficial for the society because hotels are using the society resources and it is their moral duty
to protect the interest of the social factors. This helps them in conducting their social
responsibility properly. Another things which is important for this fact is the Charlotte hotel
have to perform their duty towards the poor people of the society. They have to helps them, so,
that their poverty get reduced and their standard of living get improved.
Like they can provide educational facility to them and provide job of guard and other
service in the hotel to their parents. So, that they can earn some wages and live healthy life.
These things attracts others hospitality business organisation in performing such activities. Along
with that they have to follow the proper rules and regulations which are made by the government
authorities(Smith, Binns and Tushman, 2010). Hence, they have to follow ethical conditions
which helps them in their business growth and success.
CSR helps them in getting the sight of large number of stakeholders towards them, and
they start getting invested in their business. Also by performing proper CSR helps them in
maintain the goodwill of the hotel. Hence, every CSR just added some value in the business.
This value is the long term benefit for the organisation.
P2Project management plan of the organisation
Project management plan helps an organisation to implement the project in a effective
manner. This is one of the important factor because all such things like cost, time, quality etc.
which are beneficial to the project are discussed in details. This helps them in conducting the
project effectively(Shehu and Akintoye, 2010). Along with that it also helps them in increasing
the profit.
With the help of management plan all factors and elements can get managed and they can
work in a proper manner. This also helps in minimising the cost of the project and all resources
can get allocated in the specific time(Shattock, 2010). Charlotte hotel have to maintain a proper
project plan in which they have to include all such factors which are helpful in implementing the

1. Cost: It is the price and amount which is going to spent on the project. If the proper
management plan has follow then the cost can get minimised. The cost of their product
has to be in the limit and do not get exceed. This leads in maintain a selling price low on
the place of high. Selling price should be settle down according to the customers so, that

2. Quality: Cited organisation have to work on the quality and improve the quality of the
service and product which they provide. The quality made a positive and negative impact
over on the business in long run form. If the quality which is provided by them is poor

5. Time: It means that how much time is going to take in the implementation of the project.
If project is going to be time consuming then it termed as the project is not profitable for
an organisation. So this factor have an specific position in the project management plan.

Work breakdown structure:It is helpful in dividing the project into easy manageable
components, so that whole work can be managed properly and in a systematic manner. It is
helpful while making the project planning. Because it helps in dividing the work into sections
and each person better know its responsibilities towards the project.
It is essential while organisation have to work on complex project. This helps in making
the complex projects into sections. Which leads in making the chances of success the complex
project more and more(Kindström, 2010).
Charlotte hotel can use this method in their project designing. They have to divide their
management work into segments. These segments help an organisation to grow properly. Further

more work division is based on the skills of an individual. In the WDS, all projects are
mentioned with date and time on which the project should have to get completed. It is a list in
which all activities should have to get done(Keller, Parameswaran and Jacob, 2011).
Hence, it is an effective way of completing the task in the given time period. Also, it
helps in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the project and an individual along with
the increment in profitability.

For this purpose they listed all the deliverables which they provide to their clients and after the
sub deliverables of the project. All such things have to be follow in this manner and according to
the chart hotel divide the duty and project into different stages(Kaplan, Norton and Rugelsjoen,
2010).
Thus, it is termed as the work breakdown structure because it helps in breaking down the
work into segments.
Gantt chart:Gantt chart states the time management of the project. In which starting of
the project to completion dates are mention. In horizontal alignment, it shows about that how
much amount of work has done and what amount is remain. Gantt chart shows each and every
project separately with the two time frames in which one is based on real time and another one is
based on the time planned consumption. Hotel can use this chart in CSR in which they can
determine that how much time will incur in the accomplishment of this project. It is helpful for
an organisation because at the time while organisation is making WDS, they divide the each task
and in this chart they divide the time which is taken by the firm(Gremyr, Löfberg and Witell,
2010).

society and exploit the environment more and more. So, such firms have to transform them into
productive corporate citizen who contributes more and more in the society as a citizen.
Companies have some responsibilities towards the society and they have to adopt some steps
which are beneficial for the society and environment. Recommendation for this concern are as
follow:
Social: CSR clarifies that organisations have to return some of their wealth and success to the
communities who supports them. Hence, it shows that firm is social in nature. Like they have to
do charity and helps in improving the standard of poor people. Companies have to set up small
business and many other programmes which are in favour of the society.
Environmental: Firms largely use environment resources which helps them in their production.
They can cut down forest and trees without thinking about the future results. Hence, companies
which are engage in doing CSR have to spent some of their wealth for conserving the forest and
making of some energies which can contribute more and more on the conservation of the nature.
Employees: Employees are the key terms who contribute more and more in producing wealth of
the business. Hence, CSR recommends that company have to properly remunerate their workers

P7 Reflect on the value of undertaking research
Organisation have to maintain and formulate objectives and aims on which they can
establish plan. Charlotte hotel have to conduct a research and make the appropriate plan on the
basis of analysis by using suited methods. For this purpose I am going to first of all make the
objectives list and set targets which can be achieved easily and on the priority basis. And for the
better and effective results proper strategy formulation is necessary. After that I am going to
conduct research and data analysis and on such basis project can be differentiate on time and
money spent. There are many benefits which I get by conducting research like I experienced
many things like to prepare graphs etc(Achtenhagen, Melin and Naldi, 2013).
The major drawback which I have faced was preparing the Gantt chart because it become
difficult for me to collecting data from many sources for different projects and task. But the most
important thing which I have learn was that work division. Also I learn how to prepare
questionnaire for implementing the task and also helps me in developing the skills. With the help
of this CSR activities and quality service can be provide by the hotel to their customers because
of my data and research.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that CSR activities and implementation of them is
helpful for an organisation. It helps in the growth of a business. A business can make strong
position with the help of CSR. And for making the new project success it can also help in that
