TASK 1
Answer the following questions and follow the instructions given in each question.
Questions 1:
Refer to the reading - Guide to the National Quality Standard, ACECQA (2011) which defines the
objective of National Quality Standard (NQS) element 1.1.2 as - Each child’s current knowledge, ideas,
culture, abilities and interests are the foundation of the program.
Explain in 30-40 words aim and purpose of NQS 1.1.2?
The main aim is to work in collaborative style with families, mentors and coordinators to plan and
execute interventions for better development and enhancing skills of children at early age.
Their task is to develop and implement a curriculum in all childcare setting.

Questions 2:
Define the term curriculum as defined in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)?
Give one (1) example as how educators promote the curriculum practice in early
childhood settings.
As per the studies, the curriculum in early learning framework can defined as activities, interactions,
reactions of a child. Play can provide ample of opportunities to kids to attain self learning. Play can also
help to establish supportive environment for kids where each id can ask their each queries, solve problem
and can able to engage with critical thinking skills. Through curriculum, a child can able to expand the
their thinking and develop the intellectual skills of a kid. The Early Learning Framework states that the
best opportunities to attain learning majorly lies in the free domain. The free domain is provided in the
early childhood learning. It has been concluded through several experienced teacher in early childhood
care that children are termed to attain the learning opportunities through learning and doing such activities
by their-selves that are gain through free play.
The free play may provide opportunities such as to speak, to take initiatives, emotional, social,
physical as well as mental development can occur. The Development of National Curriculum in children
determined as not only new endeavor also effective intervention in Early Year Learning Framework. For
example: the activities for fine tripod grips are developed through fun folic activities such as tearing
paper, picking up small objects, building blocks and so on. As these activities are determined on the basis
of child development and their individual potential. The activities which are developed by mentor highly
aims on the skills that are intellectual, sensory, gross motor skills and so on.
Questions 3:
Refer to the National Quality Framework 2 (NQF 2) document - Guide to the Education and
Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations,
ACECQA. Outline the ‘National Education and Care Services Regulation’ requirements in
relation to the regulation 74 and 75? Answer in 40-50 words each.
National Education and Care Services Regulation requirements are personal details of a child, the
child development areas, needs, requirements, experience, volunteering in the educational campaigns and
programs, evaluation of child progress, child medical history. The document of child should be simple
that can be easily understood by teachers and parents.

Question 4:
Refer to the National Quality Framework 3 (NQF 3) & the Early Years Learning Framework.
a) Explain the purpose of NQS 1.1.1, Answer in 25-30 words.
The main purpose of NQS is to ensure the physical environment around the children should be safe,
protected, suitable that can provide rich amount of experiences which can promote child's learning
and knowledge.
b) Define curriculum planning in 25-30 words and provide two (2) examples of how it can be
implemented in the service.
The curriculum planning is complex activity which involves the interplay of one's
ideas belongs from curriculum field. It can descriptive of learning opportunities.
The two examples intentional teaching and extension of ideas.
c) Define intentional teaching in 25-30 words and provide two (2) examples of how it can be
implemented in the service.
Intentional teaching can be described as educators being dedicated, deliberate,willing,
purposeful and also thoughtful in their profession as well as in their individual
decision and actions. The two examples of this practice are building trust and
dignity among learners and educators and establishing confidence and self identity.
d) Define scaffolding in 25-30 words and provide two (2) examples of how it can be implemented in the
service.
The scaffolding is method that can describe how children's learning and development being supported by adults at
the right time and in a right way. It can also allow to solve problems and can able to carry out a task that can be
term to be beyond their self capabilities. For example: making prob questions and making suggestions can be two
different ways if scaffolding in EYLF.
e) Provide two (2) examples of planned and unplanned experiences that can be implemented
in the service.

The two examples that can be sued ad planned and unplanned experience are daily
dairies or reflection of the whole day and another is portfolios that contains art
works, photos, family inputs and so on.
f) Outline the purpose of National quality standard1.1 in 30-40 words, provide two (2)
examples of how it can be implemented in the service.
The main focus which is highly aimed by National Quality Standard1.1 are to make sure
that the educational interventions, programs, practices did meet the criteria of child
development and progress. It must help kid to enhances his or her skills and
knowledge and the two main practicing examples are ensuring the child outcome
and working in partnership with parents to provide learning after school hours.
g) Outline the purpose of National quality standard1.2 in 30-40 words, provide two (2)
examples of how it can be implemented in the service.
The National Quality Standard 1.2 is highly aims on the learning abilities and promoting
required skills in the children. The educators also help kids to fosters critical
thinking. The examples which can be consider as effective are responsive teaching
and scaffolding when its required, else promotion independence in child's behavior.
