1. Overview
This project is intentionally carried out to develop the datacenter design. In this section,
the detailed process of implementation of the proposed plan is described with the adequate tools
and technologies.
2. Work Breakdown Structure
In this section the detailed work breakdown structure of the datacenter development
project is described. The below given work breakdown structure clearly explains about the
various processes involved in the project. This project contains three major activities. And they
are Data center design development, data center implementation process, and data center
commissioning. All the three processes are carried out by the six major mile stones. And the
major milestones are illustrated in the below figure.

1. Initial Requirement Analysis
In this phase, the initial design requirements and problem overviews are identified. Also,
the financial risks of the implementation process also analyzed in this step.
2. Design Development
Design development process is the long process, it consumes the higher time to complete.
The design process starts with the process of selecting the site for the data center construction.
After that, the power requirement of the various systems is found. Simultaneously the HVAC
design also developed. Here the overall cooling load required for the system is identified. After
the HVAC design, the floor plan for the data center is developed. The developed data center
floor plan accommodate the various needs of the system. And finally, the security system design
also carried out in this phase.

3. Development of Implementation Plan
After developing the data center plan, we have to develop the implementation strategy.
The proposed implementation strategy describes the procurement process planning, human
resources planning, etc. During the Implementation planning, the various practical difficulties
involved in the implementation process are considered. Based on that the implementation
strategy will be developed.
4. Implementation
The implementation process is just follow up process carried after developing the
implementation plan. Here we need to follow the actual implementation plan. In this case, all the
hardware and software devices are coordinated. This process starts with the procurement process.
5. Testing
In this stage, the entire system’s performance is tested. Here we need to conduct the test
to the each and every component individually as well as the group. Here the performance of the
system tested on the worst-case scenario. After the complete testing, the commissioning process
of the data center gets started. In the first two years, only the one-fourth of the capacity of the
data center is utilized. Then the value is increased gradually till the system reaches its full
capacity.
6. Maintenance
In the data center, the maintenance is an important process. In this project, the preventive
maintenance strategy will be used. This strategy helps to reduce the downtime of the data center.
Because the data center downtime causes huge losses to the company. The developed
maintenance plan ensure the minimum possible downtime for maintenance of the system.

3. Schedule of Activities
Scheduling is the important process involved in the project planning. Before going to
develop the schedule the various activities are grouped based on nature. Then the grouped
activities are sequenced in the correct manner. The developed sequence must ensure the quickest
completion of the project. In the below-given table, the developed Schedule for the project is
shown. The overall time planed for complete the project is nearly 150 days.

Here there are seven activities are scheduled. All the seven activities are the milestones of
the project. According to the proposed schedule, the first milestone is planned to complete within
the 15 days. After finishing that the second milestone of the project is initiated. It will be
completed on the 31 days. Then the third-mile stones take 16 days for completion. After
finishing that the next milestone is initiated. The fourth milestone is consuming huge time than
other activities. Because it is the implementation process. It takes nearly 75 days for completion.
Then the testing and commissioning of the project will get started. The detailed time and
duration of each task is described in the above-given table.
4. Gantt chart & PERT Chart
Gantt chart and PERT charts are the most common project communication documents.
And also it used for planning the daily activities of the project. For tracking the project activities
it helps a lot. The developed Gantt chart and PERT chart for the data center development project
is illustrated in the below given figures.

5. Budget Estimation
The estimated cost for the project is given in the table illustrated in this section. The
developed budget consists the cost details for both the functional requirements of the project as
well as the nonfunctional requirements of the project. The overall budget of the project is
estimated as the $ 3000000 approximately.

6. Maintenance Strategy
The recommended maintenance strategy consists of the three stages on it. The developed
maintenance strategy ensure the fine performance of the system throughout the year. It also
contains the negligible downtime for the maintenance operation.
 The first process is through inspections on daily basis. Here the dedicated team of
peoples is employed to inspect each and every major component of the system. They
record the details to find the health of the system.

 The second process predictive maintenance process. Based on the collected details the
team found the causes of failures. They predict the problems and found the most
appropriate solution for the problem and they correct the problem before it occurs.
 The third one is also quite similar to the second process. But in the third process, the team
corrects the components and systems based on the initial plan. During the initial planning
process, the team of members calculated the life of each component. The calculated life
time is the life time of the component without any issues. After that, the components are
changed to avoid failure.
