The paper highlights the current management issue at Woolworths, which is characterized by unhealthy employment relations, including employee absenteeism, strikes, unrest, bullying, lower compensation, and discrimination. To resolve this issue, the organization needs to implement work hour planning and pay scale increments to reduce employee grievances and improve productivity. Additionally, effective job redesigning for both casual and full-time employees can enhance employee motivation and retention. Collective and distributive bargaining can also be employed to negotiate industrial relationships effectively. Finally, it is recommended that the organization identify and evaluate the causes of deteriorating employee relations with management and implement best practices to resolve these issues.
