INTRODUCTION Leadership is an process by which the leader can guide, direct and motivate the behavior or work of the employees towards the accomplishment of the particular goal in the given situation in the organisation(Skills of leaders,2019).This study highlights situational leadership theories and the democratic leadership theories and further the report will highlights the personal reflection of being an leader. It reveals various lack of skill in the leadership style and also provide measures to improve the leadership skill. In this regard present report has been prepared that involves various leadership style. MAIN BODY Situational Leadershiptheory refers to those leaders that adopt unique leadership style on the basis of situation and development level of the team members. It is effective source of leadership because it adapts to team needs and set beneficial balance for whole organisation. This leadership style describes various role of leader(Mencl, Wefald and van Ittersum, 2016). Leader tells The function of leader is to lead and take decision for successfully work. While motivating and encouraging the team and also essential that the instruction is clear and conscious which is understand by colleagues. Leader sells In this situationthe leader offers constant supervision to the team and also providing feedback. During this stage leader ask it co-workers to gather suggestion, new ideas and improvement that contribute to project. Leader Advices In critical situation leader must encourage and facilitate teammates(Mumford and et.al., Watts, 2017). It is only source to get best out of them by getting the guidance towards the objective. Leader delegate This level of situation where individual are mature and know how to behave, what their role and what is expected from them. As leader explain everything clearly. Because of this reason, leader delegate responsibility to their colleagues and also respect their way as carrying out task and entrusted them & decision they make.
Democratic leadershipis very open and collegial type to run a team. Where ideas freely move among the team and discussed it openly. Seat is given to everyone so that free-flow discussion can be done(Miscenko, Guenter and Day, 2017). This type of leadership is needed in rapidly changing and dynamic environment where few can be taken as constant. In swift moving firm, for improvement every option to be considered and keep team falling from out of date. Democratic leadership are used when the situation changes frequently, that time it offers great deal of smoothness to adopt more better source of doing things. But unfortunately it slowdown the decision making in the structure, So it may embrace better and new methods. This leadership can bring best out of experienced professional team. It increase the skill and talentby giving chance to share their views, rather than easily expecting them. If decision is complex and broad, than it is essential to have Unique area of expertise represented. If a company want to build an effective and high performing team situation leadership is the way to do that. Leaders have to handle the changes in situation in an effective way(Desai, Lockett and Paton, 2016).. Leaders are responsible to resolve problems of their workers and make them feel happy as well. I implements situational leadership approach in order to lead my team members. I look at situation with different perspectives. I worked as leader in XYZ company for more than two years. I have a great experience of handling different situation as being leader. As there was a time in our company where there was conflicts between the employees, many workers are not satisfied with their jobs and situation was created as the employees were not willing to continue the job. So being a leader I manage the situation in such a way that, I talk to each employee personally, listen to their problems and try to solve it in a significant manner so that they not leave the organisation. I realised that time that I have good problem solving skills which help me in handling critical situations being a situational leader. This experience of mine or this skill of mine help me to get higher positon because superiors are required to resolve quarries quickly. For a leaders behaviours matter a lot, that how they behave in an organisation and handle situations(Levin andSchrum2016). Leadershaveto dealeffectively in each situation, sometimes they have to react loud and sometimes they have to handle condition with clam. My behaviours changes according to circumstances or not. I am calm and introvert person I handle the situation very calmly with relaxed mind but some times the situation is like that being a leader can't control myself and become angry sometimes. according to the conditions in the company, which I think is not a good habit. Hence I will required to control over my anger so that I can builda strong team otherwise I would not get success as a great leader in future. Leaders are required to closely monitor given tasks and complete the task with quality. If leader is unable to monitor the task, then it can increase chances of mistakes at workplace(Jiang and et.al., 2015). As leader my job is to handle each task very carefully and deal with the employees in a peaceful way, but sometimes the workers are very lenient and do not listen to my orders so I have to be strict to them, so that they follow my orders and act according to that. Being strict to staff every time is not good but it is my job to act according to the situation. In uncertain situation I managed the task so efficiently as provided training to the employees so that develop their skills, I make good arrangement for the workers and provided flexible environment so that the workers are satisfied and works for long time in company, this also helps in reducing labour turnover. Hence my motivation and planning skills are good which support me to handle tough situations well and retain team members with me for longer duration. This skill of mine can help me to perform well in the future and get more development opportunities in my career. It is the responsibility of a leader to motivate others in achieving their goal as well as organisational goals(Kearns and et.al., 2015). Leader has to set clear vision by influencing employees to understand and accept the future state of the organisation. As the role of leader is to communicate with the employees and made them understandable what's their duty and roles. Being a leader communicate the plans, strategies and targets through different ways so that they are easily understandable by the employees. I think my communication skills are good. But there are some negative points which needs to be improvesuch as active listing as it is the most important. I sometimes do not listen to what the other person is saying. So when I improve this problem, I can gather more information and the views of other persons are also taken. Thus, better result can be carried out. I feel that in should have an open communication with the staff so that more data can be collected in less time. I always made a positive communication with the staff but some times they are not satisfied so I have to work on this, as it is very crucial for a leader to be positive. If I listen them well then I would be ableto understand their need which will support me to handle them well and make them able to work better in organisation. This skill will help me in the future to work better and get higher positon.
As being a strategist leader in the company from past one year. I have potential to encourage the employee in the organisation and also keeping the employee updated about what is happening around and within the organisation. And always use to create organisation structure, for that use to allocate various resources to the employees and express them strategies vision of the company the main objective is to increase the productivity of the organisation and to increase the productivity I always use to motivate the employees and being patience to under the problems of them and always solve their problems by using various tactics. And always use to be calm and self control so that control the disturbing moods and desire of others and always thinking before acting As an leader I found lack in self awareness among myself regarding own mood and emotions which make impact on others. That effect the mood of the others people. I have to understand myself regarding the mood and emotions so that it will not effect the other people in the organisation. As an strategic leader its my responsibility to encourage the employees and keep on understanding the view and feeling of the subordinate and make decision after considering them. The role of a leader is to motivate the employees(Tang, 2019). Leadership is used as means of motivating others. Motivation helps employees in raising their morale and self confidence.Myself have capability to motivate the employees to do the work more seriously and efficiently. For motivating the staff first I started searching the needs of employees and what things motivates them. For workers who get motivated by monetary rewards myselfstarted giving bonuses and incentives and other employees who needs appreciation and recognition I started praising and complementing them. This is my strength that being a leader can motivates the workers. But I should adopt more ways so that it can provide better motivation to the people. Therearevariousconflictsintheorganisationasdifferentpeoplehavedifferent thinking’s so it is obvious that conflict arises. I have good experience to handle conflict situations. As conflict arises in my company that employees are not satisfied with job roles and relation between them are not good. So for making better relations between the employees being a leader I started giving group projects and make teams so that employees interact with each other and better communication can be created. Thus, helps in reducing conflicts. But feels that I must analyse the problem more deeply so that correct measure can be taken out. I have delayed in solving conflict as the role of leader is to take action and confronting the issues before its too
late. So I must work on that. Another conflict is that the employees are not satisfied with their job roles so started providing training and development programs. But I feel that should started giving bonuses to employees so that they are satisfied. Thus, this assist in solving conflicts in organisation. Leaders are required to take correct decision that can give positive results to business unit. Being leader my job is to make good decision in though situation(Coleman, 2018). As the company is making technical changes ie, adopting new machines for working and advance technology. So for adopting these changes I made measure that by which means changes can be introduced to the employees. Being a leader myself made training and development programs for the employees so that they learn how to work on new technology. I think this is my greatest strength that I can make desirable decision in less time. Hence I can be profitable for companies hence I can get more development opportunities in near future. CONCLUSION From the above study it can be concluded that leadership plays and important role in managing the affairs of an organisation. The report concludes about different leadership styles as Situational leadership refers to when the leader or manager of an company works and acts according to the current situation. Democratic leadership is known as participative leadership in this style members of group take participation in decision making process, so for good decision making organisation should adopt democratic style. Further the study concludes that how role of leaders impacts the company in different situations. Leaders assist in solving conflicts which helps in increasing the productivity of organisation. Further report also concludes that how communication is important as by effective communication employee relation can be improved.
