INTRODUCTIONEmotional intelligence is the capacity or ability of an individual to identify as well asmanage emotions of self along with others in effective manner. It is an important skill whosemain categories are self awareness, motivation, social skills, self regulation and empathy. Suchintelligence builds stronger relationships, relieving stress, empathizing with others, defusingconflicts, communicating effectively, overcoming challenges and many more. Emotionalintelligence skills are huge contributors in the overall success of an individual life as such skillsinfluences abilities to self motivate along with management (Ackley, 2016). Such skills areintangible in nature but have significant impact on various operations or activities such asperformance, social intelligence, physical health and relationships that are performed atworkplace. The project report is based on Bentley Motors Limited which is a marketer as well asmanufacturer of luxury cars and having its headquarters located at Crewe, England, UnitedKingdom. The report includes importance of developing emotional intelligence at workplacealong with relationship among emotional intelligence, business advantage and effectivemanagement communication. It also discusses models of emotional intelligence as well asimportance of emotional intelligence and mindfulness in workplace. Lastly, the ways in whichemotional intelligence help an organisation to gain competitive advantage.MAIN BODY1. Itresults in increased productivity and ability to take challenges of them.Empathy is a quality which guides people to understand needs, viewpoints and wants ofother that are living or working around them.
