There are various training and development programmes organisedby the HR Dept. to ensure short and long term sustainability of individuals in thecompany(Berry, 2011). This assignment focuses on the analyses of the skills behaviour essentialby a HR professionals in Tesco Plc. It is #1 retailing chain in United Kingdom and employsaround 476,000 people around the globe. The comparison will be done on the several trainingand development methods and their impact on the professional and constant learning. The role ofhigh performance on the engagement and development of competitive advantage will beassessed.TASK 1P1 Professional knowledge, skills and behaviour by HR IndividualThe HR professional is one the important part of an organisation. He is responsible tomaintain and develop employees in an organisation along with building cordial relations amongstall. There are certain set of skills and behaviours which are essential in an HR professional inorder to complete its task effectively. Tesco is an multinational company therefore the tasks arecomplicated compared to other companies. In addition to development of employee they have tolook after maintaining diversity, health and safety of employees, conflict resolution, grievancehandling and negotiations. The major skills and behavioural in an HR professional are:Effective communicator: The one of the most crucial skill of an HR is to effectivelycommunicate with others.
