Every organization is involved in managing its operations and functions by
forming teams and dividing work among them. A team is made of group of people who
work together in achieving a particular goal and objective ((Belbin, 2012). In this report,
the role of team and development of team is described. The company which is
considered in the following research is Hightown Housing Association. This report
consists of various human resource functions in providing a strategic and effective
service to clients and customers. The determination of appropriate professional
knowledge, skills and behaviors that are required by HR professionals. A completed
personal skills audit is explained. The difference between organizational and individual
learning, training and development are described. It consists the need for continuous
learning and professional development to drive sustainable business performance. The
importance of HPW in employee engagement and competitive advantage within a
specific organizational situation is described. In the end, different approaches to
performance management which support in high performance culture and commitment
is given.
