1) Research Aim: Provide indication as to the overall aim of the dissertation – what, in
quite specific terms, are you trying to find out? This forms the overall purpose of
the dissertation.
The aim of the study is to understand the purpose and the issues of HRM that
are encountered by the Dasin Holdings. The purpose of the research is to ensure
that proper recommendations can be provided to the HRM of Dasin holdings for
dealing with the health-related issues of the employees.
2) Research Objectives: State, in more precise detail, what you plan to find out which
will help you fulfill the research aim? This will help direct the research and provide
structure to the dissertation.
The study is aimed at investigating:
 To study the effectiveness level of existing HR management policy of
Dasin Holdings Pte Ltd.
 To identify the critical factors affecting the effective implementation of

 To put up recommendations to improve the existing HR policies of Dasin
Holdings for health-related matters of crew member.

 What are the recommendations that need to be implemented in the
matters of improving the existing HR policies of Dasin holdings for
health related matters of the crew members?

4) Literature Review Pt.1: Provide a brief literature review of the main authors and
themes relevant to your topic. Indicate any models that you may wish to apply, test
or review. This will help identify opportunities for study and direct your literature.
 The definition of the HRM can help in the evaluating the total asset
values in the forms of human resources. This depends on the overall skill
value of the employees.
 The duty of the management can include ensuring health care safety of
the employees.
 Proper HRM policy can help in the purpose of improving the quality of
customer service.
 The major challenges in the policy implementation of HRM include that
of diversity within the global culture. This can therefore affect the style
of leadership and management within an organization.
Nazari and Naghavi, (2015), have mentioned about organizational effectiveness
that can help to improve upon the relationship between co-workers within an
organization. The effective human resource management system also focuses of
on full utilization and motivation of employees to deal with all type of
challenging situations.
As per mentioned by Guest (2017), one of the major challenge for Human
Resource Department of every organization in the globalised world is due to
diverse range of human culture within the society. This causes high level of
communication issues.
The impact of leadership style on HR management system has been addressed
by Jackson, Schuler and Jiang (2014). There is no doubt in the concept that
human capital is the most critical asset in the organization. HR strategies aim at
providing motivation to the employees so as to ensure superior quality of
services and optimal job satisfaction.
According to Sheehan (2014), the learning skills and also considered to be one
of the essential part of critical activities within the Human Resource Department
that help to enhance the existing skills of every employee.
Banfield, Kay and Royles (2018) explained that the extent of competition faced
by an organization in the relevant industry holds much potential to affect the
ability of the company to recruit employees who are skilled and qualified. There
is no argument in this regard that recruitment of employees is the most basic HR
management function.

6) Research methods: Outline how you will gather the information you need to answer
the research questions. Is this a qualitative study? Or quantitative? Will you
interview? Who will you interview? Or will you carry out surveys? Where and how
many? How will you measure responses? Or manage a case study? Of which
organisation(s)? What literature on research methods will you use to justify your
selected methods.
Sekaran research methods will be used. The investigators will collect data from the
survey of 50 workers in Dasin Holdings. The sample is chosen through random,
methods, where both experienced and newly recruited are chosen. The data is
analyzed using the software of regression analysis. With interpretivism research
philosophy the actual data are analyzed according to the human perception of the
given subject

Dasin Holdings Pvt. Ltd. is one of the largest shipping transportation companies,
which is based in Singapore. The firm is mainly famous for their ability to
transport larger volume cargo shopping. The company has nearly 55,000
employees. The company is currently facing issues due to poor health of the
employees.

8) Discussion and Analysis: Describe what techniques you anticipate using in
analyzing the data you have collected and the questions you are investigating.
Quantitative method of data analysis will be applied, where the interpretation of
the collected data will be done by the method of regression analysis and co-
relation coefficient techniques.
9) Anticipated Problems: Indicate areas where you anticipate problems arising – for
instance in company access, questionnaire collection, writing-up etc. Indicate
possible solutions to these problems and how these might affect your overall
research.
Problems:
The management of Dasin Holdings may not allow the investigators to conduct
survey of the employees. Additionally the employees may not be able to provide
the proper and accurate information related to the HR issues they are facing due
to their personal constraints
Solutions:
The researcher needs to ensure that they are properly able to convince the
management about the importance of the research and make agreement about
following the ethical principles. While conducting the survey the data collector
needs to properly communicate with the participants and try to collect the
maximum possible data.

10) Anticipated Timetable: Provide a rough timetable describing when you plan to
complete the stages of the dissertation. Schedule time for: Initial research; literature
review first and second drafts; completion of methodology chapter; completion of
