INTRODUCTION
Hospitality industry is one of the growing and developing industries. Hospitality industry
provides peaceful environment and customer satisfaction. In the hospitality industry, Hilton hotel
is the one of the best hotel brands in Europe and founded in 1955. Hilton Hotels and Resorts is
the largest brand in the hospitality industry.
In this report, we will explain the current scale, scope and diversity of Hilton Hotels and
Resorts. Discussing the organizational structure, analysing the role of professional bodies in the
hospitality industry and also assessing the staffing requirement and roles, responsibilities and
qualification of staffing in the hospitality industry. Analysing the operational, managerial and
legislative issues in development affecting the hospitality industry. Discussing the current image
and potential trends and development in hospitality industry.

1.1 Analyses the current scale, scope and diversity
In order to scale scope and diversity of potential investors are invest in the hospitality
industry. The hospitality industry is spread in huge areas so that it is not easy to define the
industry. The industry is largest and growing industry in the world. Many tourists are coming
around the world and they can find the big hotels and resorts (Adeola and Ezenwafor, 2016.).
Hilton Hotels and Resorts are the largest hotel brands in the hospitality industry. They
can also doing the other businesses such as club, foods, restaurants, catering etc. In Hilton hotels,
they can provide foods services, accommodation, laundry services, night’s club services and
other services. They can also organize business meetings, conferences and seminars in their hotel
auditorium. In the hotels, there many of the restaurants, so that it is easy to the customers for all
the facilities are available on the one place. Foods services are the important sectors in the hotel
industry.
The scope of hotel industry is very big. In the hotel industry, many employees are
working the hotels and they create many jobs. They can also providing gym, swimming pools,
night club, beauty salons and etc. so that customers are feeling goods and comfortable in their
hotels. The grading system of hotels for their level of services. In the hotel industry, there are
different hotels which provide the standard services to their guests. Hilton also organises theme
parties, sports facilities and many events through requirement of customers(Ali and et.al.,

2018.). In the holidays and festivals, there are very rush They can provide all facilities at one
places. In resort business, they can provide standard facilities to their guests.

Hilton is the largest and growing hotels and resorts of UK. The Hilton Hotel provides
many products and services like foods services, restaurants services, nightclubs, sports events,
meetings and conferences. Hilton hotel were built in 1955 in Europe. In the history, Hilton is
damage from the violence,So that they focus on the futures aspects.
1.2 Discuss the organisational structure
There are different organizational structure of every hotels. So that the organizational
structure of Hilton hotels and resorts is different from other hotels. In the organization structures
includes human resources divisions, finance division, information technology divisions and other
division like housekeeping division, stores division, front office divisions etc.
There are different five Star hotels in the UK. For an example Milestone hotel and
Residences, Coworth Park, etc. These are also available Theme parks and catering services for
earning profits and customers expectations. There are having different organizational structures.
In the hotels industry, five stars hotels have hierarchical structures of their organization. In the
hierarchical structures includes pyramids (El Demerdash, 2017). It means that all the works
handled by the managers of all the departments. It is the different from the flat structures. Flat
structures means there is no management level of the organization and all departments handled
by their supervisors. The structures of five hotels includes front office division, human resources
division, finance division , information technology division and other division like housekeeping
areas, stores area, laundry area etc.
The entire department is handled by the managers. In the front office division include
customers check in, collection of money, refund to customers and other activities. The Human
Resource Managers are working like training, hiring, performance management, and salary and
compensation management. The Finance Managers are working like analysing sales, profits,
costs, expenses. The other division in the hotel like housekeeping management, stores
management, laundry management and other management works. Restaurants management
including foods and beverages services etc. They can provide better quality services so that the
customers will come in their hotels many more time (Filimonau and Krivcova, 2017).

The organizational structure means relationship between people and departments in the
hotel sector. The structure of Hilton Hotels and Resorts adopting the hierarchical structures.
The front office division includes customers check in, collecting money, refund to customers,
conferences and foods and beverages. The Human Resources Division includes training and
hiring of staff, analysing performance, calculating staff and labour salary and compensation and
other works related to Human Resources Management.

They can create and provide jobs through implementing policies related to hospitality
industry. They can create competitive advantages for UK. They can play role of promoting the
interests of owners to their brand products and services like foods and beverages services, club
and restaurants services for attracting the customers. They can provide services for financial

and have to experience of different types of jobs. They can help of youth to achieve their goals.
They can also helping people to find the jobs. They promote the tourism and hospitality industry.

The role of institution is to provide advices and support. They can also provides the
professional standards related to the hospitality industry. They can promote and represent the
workers in the hospitality industry. They can give the training and support of the hospitality
industry (Professional bodies related hospitality industry,2015).
People 1:
The role of people 1 is to implementing the solutions to increasing the performance and
peoples. They can also helping in the information and creates the job opportunities related to
hospitality industry. They can also give the training of college students and give the training
programs certificate related to the hospitality industry. This is local bodies of growth plan and
providing the councils related to industry (Leung, Xue and Bai, 2015).

2.1 Assess the staffing requirements of different hospitality businesses.
The role of staffing is important in the hospitality industry. All the management and
operational work, staff play many roles in the hospitality industry. In the hotels, there are many
works like housekeeping work, front office work, foods and beverages services, finance related
work, information technology related work and human resources management related work,
these work performing by the staff. Without staff for managers is to difficult to managed all the
works in the Hilton. Another work as considered as operational staff, counter boys, catering
services etc.
Management Staff: In the management work, staffs is very important part in the hotels
industry. Management work includes human resources, finance, marketing, sales and operation.
In other works like foods management, housekeeping management, event management and
sports management. Staff is very important for all the works in the hotels. Staff is also important
in tourism and travels businesses for providing services to the customers (Manning, 2018.).
Operation Staff: Staff is the main part of operational works. Operational works includes
finance related operations, technology related operations and operation works. Staff is play role
in travels and tourism related operations.
Housekeeping Staff: In the housekeeping work, they can provide the laundry services,
foods services in the rooms to the customers. In the travel and tourism sectors, housekeeping
staff is the part as well. They can provide all the services by the housekeeping staffs.
Travel Staff: The role of staff is important in the travels industry. The staff is helping in
the planning and organizing for trips for the customers. The travel staff is the implementing and
solving the problems of the customers. The travels staff is helping in the relationships between
the customers. The travel staffing is to provides the entertainment to the customers .
2.2 Discuss the roles, responsibilities and qualification requirements for hospitality staff
Staff is playing many roles and responsibilities in the hospitality industry. The
qualification of the staff for working in the hospitality industry. In the hotels sectors, staff is
plays various roles and responsibilities and their qualification is must for the hotel working.
Hilton is the largest and growing hotels so that staff is main for providing services to the
customers and helping in the management work as well (Prud’homme and Raymond, 2016.).

Management Staff: The role of managers is to analysing the profits and sales, to maintain
the standards of the services, adopting the strategies for training and hiring of the staff. The
managers have to be organizational and interpersonal skills, communication skills, must hae be
certificated by the associate degree.
Front Office Staff: The roles and responsibilities of front office is to important in the
hotels industry. It is responsible for the customers relations like talking with the customers,
telling the services, solve the problems related to services. The qualification of front office staffs
have to be interpersonal skills and communication skills. On the front office desk, helping to the
related to the services in the Hilton. Some of the hotels back office work is also there, for
collection the amount and refund to the customers and all the finance related issues which is
solving in the back office (Filimonau,and Krivcova,2017).
Housekeeping Staff: The roles and responsibilities of housekeeping staff is to give the
services to the customers. Services includes cleaning services, laundry services, foods and
beverages services and other services. Housekeeping staff is to maintaining the rooms
environment and rooms equipments.
Restaurants Staff: Restaurants staff is play roles in the travels and hotels sectors as well.
It is providing the foods ad beverages services to the customers. It is huge responsibility of the
staff for better quality services to the customers.

and resorts. We have discussed that their organizational structures, explaining the various roles

requirement and their roles and responsibilities in the hospitality industry. Analysing the
operational, managerial and legislative issues which are affected on the hospitality industry and
discussing the current images and predictions for potential trends and development and dicussing
their impact on the hospitality industry.
