Executive Summary
Leadership is an imperative facet in the followers as well as leaders life. A team leader could
always dwell upon admires, assists them and facilities them to achieve their allocated work.
Apart from this, the group members could look up to their team leader and encourage from their
assistance towards the accomplishment of the organizational tasks. Moreover, this course has
facilitated me to improve my leadership skills and collect the opinion and views of managers,
seniors and group members towards their skills and activities to improve my leadership skills.
This reflective report entails of my learning by this refection that has not only supported me in
gaining my current leadership skills but also help me in implementing my leadership skills in the
business process.
Introduction to leadership and its importance
A leadership style is an imperative tool for operating any business procedure and get higher
success. The leader could use certain theories with respect to the leadership to get positive
responses. I read that some characteristics of leaders could be acquired by their learning. In
addition, it is also examined that leaders are born but their skills characteristics are acquired by
their experience (Renko, El Tarabishy, Carsrud, & Brännback, 2015). Apart from this, it is
evaluated that leadership capabilities could be increased by different effort and experience.
Through this reflection, my purpose is to share my journey of leadership and my learning
systematically. Through this, I was capable to determine my weakness and strength in a
systematic manner. This evaluation could also be effective for increasing my deeper perception
towards my leadership capabilities (McCleskey, 2014). This report also demonstrates the
outcome of self-analysis. I used feedback method to comprehend my strengths and weaknesses
and improve my leadership skills in a systematic manner. I observed that the leanings from

coursework could be imperative for effectively implementing the leadership in the business and
make suitable leadership journey. I also analyzed that the leader could be accountable for
sustaining the position of the organization in the marketplace. It could be imperative for
obtaining reliable outcome (Antonakis, & Day, 2017). As a team participant, it is our
responsibility to collect suitable tools of communication that will be required to accomplish the
desired goal in the least time and cost. It could entail many sources like taglines, advertisements,
social media posts, and newspaper reports. It is evaluated that such sources could lead to
improving the relationship with the external as well as an internal stakeholder of the firm. I lead
this particular communication team from the last 9 months (Allison & Goethals, 2014).
I analyzed that my journey of leadership was very imperative as it taught me for improving my
professional life in limited time and cost. When I started working as a leader in the organization,
I came with a minimum quality of leadership skills that was complicated for me to manage the
diverse culture of people and make a huge amount of profit. Hence, I enhanced my skills that
support to sustain my position for the long-term. I suffered from many issues but over time the
condition has changed. In the recent era, I worked as a close member group. Furthermore, each
member of the group is self-inspired as it would lead to getting the desired result (Pranesh,
Palanichamy, Saidat, & Peter, 2017). The organization has given the responsibility for six
employees (Sotarauta, 2016). In addition, it is examined that I lead my team member to
effectively converse with others and assist them to perform better at the working place. I made
communication section for making public relation in limited time and reach at the valid
conclusion. I analyzed that this act is managed by the marketing team of the organization. I
analyzed that this activity could be controlled by the marketing team of the firm. I analyzed that
each member of the team has a different view and opinion on the same topic that was

complicated for accomplishing the same goal. The brainstorming method could also be effective
for accomplishing the goal of the organization but the different views of team members could
indirectly impact on the overall obtained outcome. For declining this problem, I started to
perform meeting and consider them in the decision-making procedure (Lloyd, Clegg, & Crouch,
2015).
Current leadership role
In the current era, I worked as an assistant executive in the retail shop. I am directing six people
in the working place and lead them to accomplish desire goal. It was my first experience. In
addition, it is examined that leadership skills could be effective for the accomplishment of the
organizational task and increase the probabilities of getting positive outcome (Drescher,
Korsgaard, Welpe, Picot, & Wigand, 2014).
As a team leader, I practiced the transformational leadership style in the working place. This
method could facilitate the leader to work with their employees and reach at a valid conclusion.
This leadership style could be crucial in nature in which team leader encourage their group
member to make a decision and accomplish their goal (Wolfgramm, Flynn-Coleman, & Conroy,
2015). This type of leadership style could facilitate to make innovation and creativity in the team
and reach at the valid conclusion (Rothaermel, 2015). Moreover, I also observed that it is
complicated for the retailer to deal with diverse cultures of consumers and maintain long term
relationship with them. I also observed that consumers could be helpful. But in some cases, their
behaviour could be challenging for the retailer. Hence, the leader might be capable to conduct
suitable behavior to a different culture of consumers and retain them for long-term. A team
leader may use different methods and tools with their challenging consumers and influence them
towards products and services of the team (Wolfgramm, Flynn-Coleman, & Conroy, 2015). I
