Introduction
The foremost determination of the paper is to focus on the impact of the Enterprise
Environmental Factors of a project. All the external as well as the internal factors of the
project will be discussed in a detailed manner in this report. This report will also propose a
technique which can be used a qualitative as well as quantitative Impact analysis tool (Abro
et al., 2017). The reason behind proposing the tools will be also discussed in a detailed
manner in this paper which will be very much beneficial to maintain the transparency of the
paper.
Enterprise Environmental Factors is defined as the different types of internal as well
as external factors which are responsible for the failure or success in a particular. The culture,
weather conditions, government regulations, market conditions are all included in the EEF.
Categories of EEF
There are different types of EEF which are generally considered in most of the
complicated projects, detailed discussions of each of the EEF will be there in the following
table (Han et al., 2019). It can be said that the categories of EEF can be characterized into
two categories such as the followings:
External Enterprise Environmental Factors (EEEF)
There are numerous sub categories of EEEF such as the followings:
 Governmental regulations: There are stringent government regulations which can

 Infrastructure: The infrastructural issues in terms of the technologies used in the
project can also having a lasting impact in a project.
 External political condition: The external political condition can also have a huge
impact on the progress of the project which are usually tracked in a weekly or
monthly basis.
 Technological: The application of the different types of technologies can have a huge
impact on the bigger assignments. The completion time of the projects can depend
upon the usability of the technologies as well.
Internal Enterprise Environmental Factors (IEEF)
There are numerous sub categories of IEEEF such as the followings:
 Organizational culture: The organization culture can have a huge impact on the
employees working on the projects. Maintaining a good organizational culture will be
very much important for successful completion of the project on time.
 Types of organizational structure: Maintenance of the organizational culture can
resolved numerous confusions associated with the management and the management
decisions (Li et al., 2018). All the formal as well as the informal plans can be
managed in an organized manner with the help of maintaining an organizational
structure.

 Internal political conditions: The internal political conditions can have a huge

by primary stakeholders of the project usually have a huge impact on the successful

Tools impact analysis of EEF
There are different types of tools and techniques which are extensively used for the
quantitative as well as the qualitative impact analysis of EEF. The following unit of the paper
will be discussing the tools in an organized manner.
 SWOT Analysis: It is defined as the type of external environmental analysis
procedure which are very much helpful to identify the factors which are responsible
for the growth and success of the project (Liao, 2017). The strength, weakness,
opportunities and threats of the project can be understood with the help of the SWOT
analysis technique. The driving forces of the project can be also identified with the
help of the SWOT analysis.
 PESTEL Analysis: All the business factors which can have a direct or indirect
negative impact on the projects can be understood with the help of this framework.
All the Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental as well as the legal
factors of the projects can be determined in a systematic manner with the help of this

Framework Disadvantages
SWOT analysis This one dimensional framework can only identify
one problem at a time and by the time the issue is
resolved there may be another issues coming up in
the similar line. Prioritization of the identified
issues is not possible with the help of this tool.
PESTEL analysis Misinterpretation of this toll can have significant
negative impact on the projects. This tool works
on the basis of assumptions and predictions.
Strategic planning is the other limitation of this
tool. Lack of clarity is the other significant
limitation of this framework (Seethamraju, 2015).
All the frontline members of the projects cannot
be managed with these tools which is a huge
concern in bigger projects.

Justification of the proposed framework
The justification of the proposed framework can be identified from this section of the
paper. The business goals and the strategies which are needed to be adopted so that the
project finishes of in time with the desired quality of service is possible if these frameworks
are successfully considered in the projects. The choosing of one if these two framework cab
be also very much beneficial for the primary stakeholders of the project to resolve the
business uncertainties such as managing the availability of the resources. It can be also said
that the business opportunities of the project can be also managed using SWOT analysis.
Taking advantage of the strength of the project is possible with the help of these external
environmental analysis (Shao, Wang & Feng, 2016). It can be said that the business strategies
can be also created and implemented with the help of the SWOT analysis.
Reassessment of the strategic planning of complex projects are possible with the help
of these frameworks. All the emerging strength and weakness of the projects can be
monitored in the first place with the help of these analysis tools. Most of the complicated
projects requires separate investments which are very much difficult to be calculated before
the starting of a project, this financial aspect can be managed in a professional manner with
the help of the strategic planning. The economic conditions of the stakeholders of the project
can be categorised with the help of these tools as well (Shatalova et al., 2015). The potential
budget conscious customers of the project can be understood in the first place with the help of
the environmental analysis tools. The sustainable advantages in terms of the business format
can be strategized with the help of these tools. All the undeserved areas of the market can be
examined and analysed using these tools. The main reasons behind choosing these two tools
in this paper is that it helps the strategic team of complicated projects to avoid any kinds of
errors which could have a direct negative impact on the growth and productivity of the

stringent government regulations can be understood from the paper as well. The internal
factors which can have a direct impost on the growth and productivity of the project can be
conclude form the paper as well. The tools required to manage the internal as well as the
external factors was understood from the paper as well. Justification of the proposed
framework can be understood from the paper as well. The strategies which are needed to be
taken by the management team of the project can be understood from the paper as well in
terms of the environmental analysis, strategy and direction and alignment. The role of each of

the stakeholders can be understood from the communication plan. The paper also helped in
understanding the complexities of the framework like SWOT analysis and the PESTLE
