REFLECTIVE ANALYSISPersonal Contribution to Topic Selection, Problem, Research Question First I went through the process of writing research paper. I studied how a research paper ismade, what things need to be included in the project. Then I searched about some differentindustries about what topic I should be selecting for my research project. I found some topicswrote them and start searching on them, but somehow I was not convinced by those topics. Thenit came to my mind about the trend of social media and it's impact on daily activities of people.Social Media is one of the most influential tools in today's world for businesses, how they caninfluence purchasers mind and attract them to but those products that they don't even need at thatparticular hour. So this manner I choose my topic 'Effect of social media on buyer behaviour'.Then I got the approval of the topic from my mentor and started searching about it, it made memore excited to know that social media is impacting buyers in so many ways. For example asimple advertisement on social media applications influence customer's and attract them towardsthose products or latest to it is celebrity endorsement. An advertisement showing some celebspromoting a product for a brand makes people go crazy after it. As I headed in searching moreabout the topic I analysed some problems such as security issues, connectivity, delay in servicesand I managed to write all these issues as my research problem. On the basis of these problems Iconstructed research question that states “What are the challenges faced by companies toinfluence buyer behaviour through social media advertising?”Contribution & Learnings from Literature ReviewAfter choosing topic and constructing questions, I started searching for similar research papersby different authors to get some idea that how they have written it, what things they mentioned,what can be improved, what new I can bring to contribute to the topic and how my researchshould be different and more progressive than others. After studying various author's researchpaper I got the idea how they constructed it and how will I make it more presentable and usefulfor the public. I learned that different people do have difference in opinions for every pointmentioned has it contradictory statement. Like if one author has said something positive aboutthe social media impact on consumer behaviour, on the other hand other authors have mentionedthat it negatively affects consumer's. I did some literature review on consumer buying behaviourand what are the factors that affect their decision. Then some on how social media influence theirconsumer's behaviour. I learned that social media has some positive impact such as it improves1
