Reflective Report
1. Introduction:
This report is a reflective document which will include a personal insight on business
communication, and it is responsible in the company (Sarfraz, 2017). The main resolve of this
impression summary will be to personally identify and judge the outcomes of productive
business communication at workplace. The detail will mainly highlight the points giving the
determination to understand the importance of efficacious business communication in firm. This
information is a crucial part because it plays vital role in knowing the role of fruitful business
communication in enterprise and such points will be highlighted in the description (Wareing,
2017).
2. Exploration about great Business
Communication:
In this module I learned many points as well the introduction of the two skills, the written
communication also the oral one. It made me more confident, offering clear, precise, concise,
and logical messages to my audience (Sanina, et.al., 2017). In addition, I will work through in
PowerPoint presentation of effective business communication in workplace and simulated
meetings to refine my spoken communication skills. Successful and favourable business
communication plays an important role and it also benefit is the enterprise of an organization
(Kalogiannidis, et. al 2020). To ensure the accomplishments of aims it is especially important to
have effective negotiation in company. Communication within an arrangement is particularly
important. Effective communication help brings a positive bond between employees and
coordination that can eventually lead to the enhancement of organization’s morale and
productivity. Hence by effective communication not only employees but also organization benefit
(Bovée, 2016).
3. Evolution in Business Communication Skills:
In order, to improve my business communication skills and to get forward for
development it is important to do the following. Development in communication dexterity will
help me build my successful career and for that some improvements are needed. First, I need to
develop my communication abilities well and I must listen more and act less (Sarfraz, 2017). I

will be brief yet specific about any topic that is being negotiated. For example, if someone is
talking about how to run a business smoothly then I will provide them solutions and, I will
personally work on it. To move forward in my career, it is especially important that I should
listen to others opinion while putting my opinion also and then react accordingly. I will not
important things down and work on it (Chang, et al. 2018).
4.Components of Business Communication:
In accordance with me, the first and the most important component is the sender. Clarity,
in a sense that one should be clear while giving a message to others. Following is the content or
message. A confused idea will end up confusing the audience and eventually the point will be
ignored by others (Chang, et al. 2018). Nothing upsets more than inconsistency of one’s
meaning. The structure of one’s communication is fundamental to how easily it is being
absorbed by the audience. There must be an opening to one’s message then the main body, that
should be the main news that is to be given and that also acts as the heart of the directive
through which the audience will be able to understand and get the main point last, conclusion
(Dwyer, et al.2019).
5.Reflection:
A reflective essay is a study in which the writer describes his or her personal experiences
in it. It further tells in what ways has the writer developed, changed, or grown from those
experiences (Wain, 2017). Reflection is the process of examining an issue internally of concern
that can be triggered through practice. It also clarifies and creates meaning within terms of self
and which outcomes within a changed perspective (Boyd, 2017).

6.Gibbs Model of Reflection:
In 1988 by Graham Gibbs model of reflection was developed in order to give the structure
regarding learning from experiences. It also gives a structure to look at interactions, and
because of recurring experiences as well as its cyclical nature can be utilized well aiding one to
learn and prepare something which has either gone well or not (Adeani, 2017). It consists of six
phases:
a) Description: In my module, I learnt many useful things that helped me overcome my flaws
throughout my report and presentation. Now I can further work on effective communication.
b) Feelings: During my presentation as well as my report I was feeling exceptionally good.
Before I felt empty as if I do not know anything and then after completion of my work, I felt
satisfied with much knowledge and information (Pikhart, , 2018). I was thinking that I would not
be able to clarify things however, at the end I felt much more confident in terms of how to be
effective in business communication in workplaces. I got motivated by others also from my hard
work throughout the report.
c) Evaluation: The things which went well were that I with many others produced good quality
work in less time and that was no less than an achievement for me. At first, it did not go as
planned however, afterwards I was much satisfied with my work. Across the module I had
positivity in me and that helped me complete my task (Dwyer, and Hopwood, 2019).

d) Analysis: I think that my initial decision went well because I worked and analysed my work
throughout the module that helped me to further learn more about communication and
effectiveness (Kalogiannidis, 2020). I have always worked this way and figured out that I love
working in places that complement my strong points while I work by myself.
e) Conclusion: I learnt from my experience that strengths play a vital role in writing a
reflection. With positivity and certainty one can achieve the desired outcomes in time and if a
person is consistent, he or she can do wonders. I overcame my flaws while learning many things
from this module and presentation (Heo, and Lee, 2018).
f) Action Plan: In future, I will make one thing clear and that is to remain positive in my work. I
will remain motivated in my work. In future if placed in any situation will act more positively . If
I would have any issues, I would not hesitate to ask my colleagues. In the end I will speak my
mind when I have issue ,in order to remember that it can be advantageous the result.( Clement,
and Murugavel, , 2018).
Conclusion and Guidance on Effective Business Communication:
Conclusively, it can be said that effective business communication plays a crucial role in
workplace to gain effectiveness and accuracy in offices. I would recommend that use of effective
English language in firm can do wonders, so English plays, and important role in providing an
effective business communication at organisation (Clement, 2018). Be relevant with what you
want to give to your audience and listen to them carefully and then react on it.
