INTRODUCTION Communication is related to the sending and receiving the information by doing verbal and non- verbal communication, good communication is very important, it helps the people to interact both face – face in the online world. Communication is beneficial for survival of humans as well as for an organisation(Archer and Akert, 2021).It refers to process for creating and sharing the ideas, facts, views, sharing ideas from one place to another. Communication is important for expressing their own views and benefit in the career, in professional like communication helping to understand the other point views and promote the co-operation and industrial peace. By doing effective communication there are so many barriers are come in different situation such as emotional barriers, physical barriers, cultural barriers and so on. In this reportitdiscussthecommunicationmodelsanddefinetheverbalandnon-verbal communication. MAIN BODY Models of communication 1) Shannon and Weaver (1948/49)-This model is a linear model of communication which provide the framework for analysing that how message are sent or received. This models helps to explaining that how messages can be mixed up and explicate in the process between the sending and receiving the message. Shannon is also known as a mathematical theory of communication, this model helps to find the pressure points which effect the communication. 1
Sender-It is the person who share the information and start the process by choosing a message to send, sender can share the message in different ways may be it orally, writing, through body language and so on. Encoder-It is the machine that converts the idea into signals which can be sent from sender to the receiver. Channel-The medium of communication is a infrastructure which gets the information from sender to communicator through to the sender to receiver(Blunt-Vinti, Jozkowski and Hunt, 2019). Noise-It creates the disturbance or interrupts the message while while it is on the way from sender to the receiver Decoder-It is related to the devices which is used by the sender and receiver to sharing the ideas such as telephone, this device is used for decodes the message into a formate that helps to understood by the receiver. Receiver-There is the person which finally gets the message. Feedback-When the receiver respond to the sender message and reply on those message. Marie send the message to Pedro but their are some interrupts the message which create the noise andPedroheardkitcheninsteadtochicken.SotoresolvethisproblemMarieneedto communicate clearly or focus on the conversation and confirm the key issues, along with Pedro need to be an active listener or if they have any problem so they can ask the Marie. For example- At my workplace, my team leader call me to share the information, but I face difficulty to understand the message, their some noise may occurs so I tell them to repeat this again for my clarity and avoid the communication barriers. 2) Schramm (1954)-This model is also know as Osgood- Schramm model of communication. This model is cyclical model which consist for all essential elements for the communication. This suggest that communication is done in two-way path with the message continually passing between the sender and receiver. It is different for the Shannon and Waver, because it include source, receiver, message, feedback and source note, along with it does not include any noise. According to the Scram Communication Model, communication is a circular and the sender and receipt the message to the same person. 2

Source-This source is related to those party who send the message and make sure that the information is useful and relevant. Along with they want to ensure that the receipt can be done properly read the message, it has to be encoded because it is necessary for the receipt to knowing the sender(Faiman and Tariman, 2019). Recipient-It is those person whom the message has been sent, decoding the message is the psychological process. After getting the message, the stimulate immediately and send to the brain for interpretation and this process is called decoding. Along with communication is successful when the receipts correctly interprets the message from the source. Message-The information communication is through the words character and symbol, it may be verbal and non- verbal content of communication process. Feedback and organisation-The replyfrom the recipient to the sender message are called feedback, it can be verbal or non- verbal its totally depend on the receiver. If Pedro ask the Maria that she really did mean ' Kitchen', so this is feedback while helps to solve the misunderstanding and doing effective communication. For example- At the time of working my superior share some important information during the time of meeting, but I am not able to understand that, so I ask my query to them and they answer me which helps to doing effective communication. 3) Berlo (1964)-It operates the SMCR model and this model is outlined into a six stages such as the communication source, encoding the messaged, deliver the message, decoding the messages and message receiver. 3
Source-It the sender who share the information to the receiver and putting the thoughts into the words and it is done with helps communication skills, social system, culture, attitude and knowledge. Message-when the person converts their thoughts into words and this process is called encoding, along with if any messages comprise, so it include content, element treatment structure, code, so they need to focus is this elements. Channel-It is the medium which is used by the sender to share the information flows to the receiver. Receiver-It is those person who get the message and they try to understand the message and wants to convey or respond accordingly along with it is called decoding. To avoid the misunderstanding, sender need to focus that it choice right channel or medium to share the information, so receiver are able to understand that what they try to saying. Along with it receiver face problem or misunderstand the information then it they can ask for the feedback to resolve their quire. For example- when I send my message to my friend verbally and I need to be focus that I can writeproperly, sothattheycanunderstandthemessageproperly(Gholamrezaeeand Ghanizadeh, 2018). Communication Skills Verbal-communication–Itisainterpersonalcommunicationwhichincludestheoral communication, written communication and sign language. Verbal communication is used for share the information with other people, along with sender be doing both oral and written communication. Howsoever many people are use this terms to describe orally, because it totally 4
depend that what words the sender choose and how other person heard and interpreted. It is important to remember that to doing effective communication, sender need to focus that, they are doing effective speaking and clear their voice so that other person are able to understand the information . Effective information involve the three main areas such as what word they choose, how they can say them and how they reinforce them with the other non- verbal communication. Effective listening is also important to doing effective communication, because when thy communicate, they spend their energy to considering that what they are going to say that listening to the other person(Nurullayevna, 2020).To doing effective communication, people can use differenttechniquesandtoolsto improvetheirverbalcommunicationsuch as reinforcement, refection, clarification and questioning. Non- verbal communication-It is the process which conveying the message to the other person without saying or use any words either written or spoken. This types of communication is mostly done through facial expression, hand movements, body language, postures and gestures. The non- verbal communication is unlike the verbal communication, it helps to establishing and maintaintheinterpersonalrelationshipwhiledoingthenon-verbalcommunication.But sometime it creates the barriers to doing batter communication, because sometime people face difficulty to understand that what sender is trying to say and they interpret it wrongly way. To doing proper communication often requires the mix communication verbal and non- verbal signals to convey the meaning. Delivery-Verbal communication can transpire over the phone, through e-mails or doing face to face conversation. But non – verbal communication is happens only when both the parties can see each other. Grammar-Verbal communication need to be focus on their grammar while writing and speaking, but in non verbal communication they need to be more fluid. Authenticity-Non-verbalcommunicationaremorepowerfultocomparetheverbal communication, because human bodies are more subconsciously to deliver the message that they are verbally not conveying, because actions speaks louder than words. Emotions-The facial expression and tone are more often and express the felling more clearly to comparethewords,non-verbalcommunicationismorebeneficialfordoingemotional communication. 5
