Part A: Preparation for Placement
Skill audit
Understanding the ins and outs of the "IT assistant" area is facilitated by doing a skill
assessment during an internship. The training and experience I got in this industry throughout
my internship prepared me to handle a wide range of implementation procedures and
problems. I did a comprehensive system analysis to learn all I could about the industry and the
field. In addition, I've learned a variety of cutting-edge techniques for assessing systems and
scenarios. All the flaws in the current system and analytical tools become apparent throughout
this process. From this vantage point, my time spent interning has prepared me for a career in
the workforce.

Part B: Reflective Diary of Industrial Placement
Learn about company
I just began working with NEF I.T Services and Consulting LTD as an IT assistant. I have
completed the first two years of a bachelor's degree programme in the field of information
technology. The employer I work at has supported my decision to pursue a Six Sigma
certification programme. Since starting at the firm, I've realised that my strongest suit is my
ability to effectively communicate with my coworkers and the many parties involved in the
company's operations. Consequently, talking to other employees was crucial in finding solutions
to issues. Given the significance of critical thinking to my professional future, my employer
provided me with on-the-job training in this area, and I quickly learned that meeting deadlines
are essential to succeeding in my business and pleasing clients (Jungert et al., 2021).
The Project, its issues and solutions
I have worked as an IT assistant at the company, where my responsibilities have included
working on a wide variety of projects. In addition to the problems, one of the initiatives
included monitoring transactions and assessing chargebacks. My role as an IT assistant required
me to keep an eye on all financial activity. In addition, it was my job to make sure everything
was working properly with regard to IT. The task's price, its legitimacy, and the income boost it
may provide were discussed at length with representatives from several divisions and the
company's upper management. There are core responsibilities of a project that fall within my
purview. My adaptable performance has allowed me to quickly become proficient at fixing
problems and dealing with clients (Mackenzie et al., 2019). As an IT assistant, my duties include
handling routine administrative tasks like answering phones and transferring calls, as well as
proofreading, data entering, and operating office equipment like printers and photocopiers.
They have to deal with customers' complaints every day and do it efficiently.

Evaluation of work
My primary responsibilities as an IT support worker are the analysis and tracking of
transactions, however, I have participated in a wide variety of projects. Coworkers, bosses, and
superiors all helped me grow in my organisational skills (Mohammed, 2018). My ability to lead
is shown by the times I am able to steer people in the right direction. Given the cutthroat
nature of the business, I assisted in hastening delivery. This demonstrates my application
competence by allowing me to successfully oversee a project. For businesses to both disrupt
and survive in today's market, lightning-fast turnaround times are crucial. However, market
speed alone is not enough to satisfy the company's brand property, since product quality is the
primary requirement for competing with other brands. Being held accountable for any product
deployment delays when any production schedule was already in jeopardy was a formative
experience for me. In today's highly competitive business environment, rapid turnaround times
(speed) are a must for staying afloat (Mohammed, 2018). Customer urgency necessitated that
the project is completed ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, I worked non-stop to repair the
glitch, and my colleagues and I made the deadline thanks to our excellent communication and
collaboration abilities. Quick delivery models alone won't get you to your aim of a faster
product launch, however. Customers want a high-quality product, and that means speed is only
effective if it is integrated (Wu et al., 2020). Based on what I've learned about my work duties
and responsibilities, I was primarily responsible for the software's planning and execution from
the very beginning to the very end. In doing so, I demonstrated my ability to make a
professional commitment to and grasp the subject matter. Its status as a well-known brand is
relevant to my organisation, and the initiative is predicated on the participation of all relevant
parties, including myself. I made sure the quality of the product produced here was up to par
with the needs of the customers. In order to establish a strong reputation as a go-to brand, a
company must prioritise the happiness of its clientele above all else (Mohammed, 2018).
Future career plans
My primary area of expertise is in transaction analysis and monitoring, and I have worked hard
to hone my analytic skills to the point where they consistently meet, if not exceed client
expectations. My group was able to build a product that adheres to all of the company's

guidelines. If I make a bad choice or lose track of detail and it shows up in the final work, I will
be held accountable for it. Based on this, I can confidently state that my personal and
professional development were both aided by my time spent here.
Reflection on my role
Working with customers and overcoming challenges in tracking and analysis have both taught
me valuable lessons in my position. The issue arose while I was working on the project's
finances, where a shortage of funds might cause delays at any given stage. The best way to
learn is via doing, and a real-world project setting provides the ideal environment for this kind
of immersion. My background informs my work, and I am able to make quick, well-informed
judgements whenever they are called for (David et al., 2021). Through my regular life, I am able
to conceptualise the outcome and any issues in advance. Acquiring actual skills is useful in
fostering independence because it allows one to accomplish activities in the actual world that
require the use of procedures and the application of theoretical information (Chen et al., 2019).
As a result of my experience, I was able to use what I learned and do a better job of completing
the assignment. With Kolb's learning cycle in mind, it's crucial to evaluate proposals for new
growth and to pitch in with useful insights gained from one's own experience, from
conceptualization, and from practical implementation. In a nutshell, in every project, I need to
make sure the strategy is viable taking into account the dependability, compatibility, and
usefulness of the projects involved. Effortfulness-enhancing training is essential. There is a good
probability I'll get promoted to team manager, and I always prioritise expanding my software
education. I am always interested in attending educational seminars that allow me to review
material I have already covered. Working on a real-world project has allowed me to hone my
understanding of quality management testing tools. Having an advantage over competitors is
one benefit of expanding one's knowledge of modernised tools (Duguleană et al., 2020). When
a problem is found with the product, I promptly compile all the relevant data and isolate the
source of the issue. My ability to communicate effectively is crucial to the success of my current
position. Since I am in charge of acquiring different resources from the workplace, I have
learned the importance of maintaining positive relationships with both management and other
employees. The new employees come to me because they know I will give them the best advice

on how to deal with problems at work. The management group tasked me with providing them
with domain - specific training as part of an internal programme aimed at enhancing
employees' skill sets. It takes time for new employees to get acclimated to the company's
norms and practices. Being considerate of others' feelings has helped me keep good employees
from leaving for the higher salaries offered by competitors (Gentry, 2021). Initially, I was hired
as a quality IT assistant and then advanced to the roles of quality inspector and quality
assurance associate. I have shown technical expertise in quality assurance (QA) software in the
IT industry. Before they become full-fledged employees of the qualitative analyst position, I am
often requested to teach new hires such modules. Listed below are a few examples of my more
nuanced skill sets:
Critical thinking process
I have the ability to think critically which could serve me well in any task circumstance. Always
in the back of my mind will remain the fact that for a product's intended audience to receive it,
it must conform to both internal company standards and consumer expectations. As a result,
my initiatives will be more streamlined and dependable.
My learning skills
Every day, digital technology improves and evolves in new and better ways. Differentiated
instruction at every stage is essential to my professional development. As an IT support
professional, you must constantly challenge yourself to learn about and master cutting-edge
technology. I've learned a lot along the road in this profession.
