TASK 1
1.1 Own Responsibilities and Performance Objectives
I have been working for ASDA as an HR Executive and is looking for managing the
employees within organisation. In this context, I am having following roles and
responsibilities:
To conduct HR planning by identifying the vacant position within organisation.
Further, recruitment for the same need to be done to fill the vacant place at earliest.
Looking for employee issue is another set of task that I need to look for. In this
respect, meetings and taking feedback on regular basis from employees was the key
part.
I was even responsible to assess the needs of training and development for each of the
employees and need to convey the same to respective head of department. Further,
arrangements for training also need to be done by me in order to boost overall
competency of organisation.
Preparing wages and salary for the employees is also part of my responsibilities and
making it sure that salary is credited on due date.
Surfing on online portals for skilled and talented employees is also been look by me.
Further, I need to make contact with them and arranging their interview.

Apart from it, my performance objectives is to fill the vacant position in minimum span of
time. Further, contact to large set of candidates is also been considered my performance
objectives. Additionally, each resources required for training and development must be
arranged by me and no discrepancies must occur in this. I also been monitored on the grounds
of making proper database of candidates and employees working within the organisation.
1.2 Evaluating Own Effectiveness against mentioned Objectives
Upon analysis, it has been evident that I am able to do HR planning in proper manner
and also able to fill the vacant position in minimum time. However, I lack the visionary
approach in this thing and cannot able to forecast the needs of candidates in near future. Due
to this, I cannot do anything in prior which affects my performance. Also, I am able to
discuss the issue of employees but cannot able to offer them option and alternatives very
instantly. For this, I need to take inputs from my senior as well. Many a times, I am not able
to identify suitable candidates for vacant position which certainly hampers my performance.
It is evident that I am able to calculate the salary and wages of employees properly and also
able to credit the same on due date. This act as my strength which helps me in developing
healthy relations with the employees. Also, I lacks decision making factor which I need to
work on instantly.
1.3 Recommendations for Improvements
On the basis of evaluating my performance against objectives, it is analysed that I
lack at different aspects and hence need to work upon to same to shape my personality.
Initially, I need to focus in critical thinking skills so that visionary approach can be
developed. For this, I can read books, articles and other related things so that my thinking
power can be increased. Further, this will help me in improving my decision making skills. In
addition to it, I also need to gain knowledge from my seniors regarding approximate vacant
position in near future. Through this, I can able to take the steps well in advance that aids in
attaining the business objectives in effectual manner. Moreover, I also need to focus on
influencing skills in order to attract more of candidates towards the company (Sandhya and
