INTRODUCTIONEmployability skills are related to learning, abilities and other competencies that assist individual to get good job position in the desiredindustry. These skills are important for ensuring career growth and success. It further involves various skills including corporate communication,analytical, technical, self-learning, management and other interpersonal skills that are important for getting and being successful in a job. Withthese skills, one can be in charge of its own career (Jackling and Natoli, 2015). In the present report, various aspects of employability skills willbe explained. Further, in this report roles and responsibility of health care professional will be explained with the help of self-appraisal form. Inorder to conduct this study, National health service (NHS) has been selected. Withthis aspect, I can perform mywork in a systematic andplanned manner and ensurecontinuous growth in my career(Andrews and Russell, 2012).Furthermore, different roles andresponsibilities of me as a healthcare professional are listedbelow: To ensure continuouslearning and progress inmy career, it is importantfor me to determine owneffectiveness againstdefined objectives. It willfurther assist me inattaining my workobjectives smoothly andeffectively (Bailly andLéné, 2013). However, toevaluate my owneffectiveness, I can takethe help of 360 degreeappraisal.By considering360 degree appraisalform and SWOTanalysis, followingrecommendations willhelp me in attainingmy personal goalsinclined withprofessionalobjectives: With one year of practicingexperience in the field ofphysiotherapist at NHS, I haveenhanced my learning invarious fields and gainedexpertise (Jacklin and Natoli,2015). By considering 1 yearof my performance in NHS , ithas been identified that I canhandle small physiotherapistcase independently withouthelp of superiors. Descried below are thevarious communication ways thatcan be used by me tocommunicate with service users,managers and coworkerseffectively: 3

Roles and Responsibilities: To work under my seniorphysiotherapist andfollow the directions andguidance given by him orher (Role ofphysiotherapist innational health carereform).To meet the expertisestandards set by NHS forits health careprofessionals.To ensure the my healthcare practices are withinthe health careregulations act framed bygovernment of UK(Cassidy-Rice, 2014).360 degree appraisal:It is a self-appraisaltechnique used byindividual to assess theirown performance(Joanna, 2014.). In thisrespect, employees cantake feedback from theirsubordinates, superiorsand coworkers in NHSregardingtheirperformance and work inhealth care organization(Fleenor, 2011.). Further,an individual can alsotake feedback frompatients, their family etcand do self-analysis.Further, this will helpindividual in doing acritical evaluation of ownself. With this aspect,practitionerTo improvemy writtenand oralcommunication skills byattendingtrainingprograms. To amend myteam workingskills and stayteam oriented.In this respect,I can take partin groupdiscussion,voluntarilygivepresentationand participateFurther, my self confidence hasimproved a lot. However, I amlooking forward for myperformance appraisal andpromotion as associatephysiotherapist. However, forthis aspect, it is important forme to improve quality of myperformance. For this aspect, Ican use self motivationtechniques and link mypersonal goals withorganizational goal. Thereafter,I can remember the pastachievements in my career thatwill help boost my morale andinduce me to work hard.Further, I can use self-motivation techniques like,setting goals, performancereview etc. The goal settingwill help me in rememberingthe objectives that I have toattain. I will direct my effortsService users: Its my duty tocommunicate effectively andefficiently with the service users.I have to ensure that Icommunicate with them in politeyet firm manner so they take myinstructions seriously like, intakeof medicine, injection, avoidanceof liquor and smoke etc. face toface communication method canbe used by me to communicatewith my patients and their family.I should ensure that I am politeand respectful whilecommunicating. 4
