Question 1
The organization who is applying the new electronic EMR system will require two types
of key process to incorporate within the company record keeping system. The EMR should have
the capability to check the software itself. The security checklist must contain the following
points.
 Connectivity of the personal computers and the health records can be easily accessed by
required physicians before application of the new electronic media must be checked. The
ASP connection for the redundancy of lines also needs to be checked. The interface of the
test needs to be checked too before going live. The connection between the printer and
the records needs to be checked too (Hillestad et al. 2012).
 Backups and downtime of the system needs to be tested and validated. The offsite related
to backups needs to be arranged and downtime procedures need to be established and
necessitated. Paper copies needs to be available when an event system failure occurs.
 The clear communication of the process of support when an internal escalation happens
needs to be done within the organization. Making sure the escalation plan is well
communicated within the organization. The check in and review issues needs to be
supported in the team faces the huddles (Hillestad et al. 2012). .
 he application of the EMR system having correct privileges needs to be checked too
before implementation (Miller & Sim, 2012).
 They needs to ensure that the staff knows the new policies and procedures or must be
trained to cooperate with the new session. The staff needs a system walk through and
well trained to correct the minor glitches when needed.

 The expectation from the staff should not be perfect before going live. The EMR learning
curve must be modified (Miller & Sim, 2012).
Question 2
Plan do check act is known as the risk management implementation cycle known to be
introduced by Walter Shewhart and the diagram is to be popularized by the improvement in the
process in gauging customer requirements and take a corrective decision. The quality
management is one of the issues that the management faces in company. Therefore, the feedback
management issues mechanism must be given utter importance, while they must redress the
PDCA cycle to cover the issues.
Plan –
 The plan is to collect data from the statements of the visitors and patients and
ascertaining the root cause of the problem.
 Evaluating the different possible interventions is the base of Process decision program
chart, planning tool (Jin et al., 2012).
Do –
 After recruiting the risk manager, quality inspection cycle must be reviewed and
successfully implemented.
 This must be accorded with the in the do list (Matsuo & Nakahara, 2013). Employees
will be trained for improving quality of the work.
Check –

 Quality inspection assessment centre will be developed, which will be one of the most
important and essential part of this risk management issue.
 The upper specification limit and lower specification limit will be aligned with the
structures of implementing the Electronic media record (Jin et al., 2012).
Act –
 Creating safeguard and changed process of record keeping will ensure the smooth
execution on the quality management process.
 The standardization process will be done over and over again. For further improvement
acting on the feedback got from the stakeholders needed to be done (Matsuo & Nakahara,
2013).
Recommendation
It can be recommended that the company can take a alternative approach of
implementing EHR (electronic health record) system to avoid the risk issues of EMR
