INTRODUCTION
Equality and diversity are considered as efficient factor that are required and are essential
to maintain a balance between the functions and operations of the society in an efficient and
appropriate way. Although there are various factors that act as negative enough and throws a
dark influence on the individuals, but it can be resolved using the help of various policies and
procedures that have been initiated by the government. The report is about analyzing various
policies that can help in dealing with issues like racism, discrimination etc. also, various
strategies can be included to cope with such issues.
TASK 1
Equality Act 2010
As per the Equality Act 2010, it is stated that there should be no sort of discrimination or
racism in any organization. Whether it is on the basis of colour, gender etc., but it is not allowed
at all. It has been observed that the people were discriminating the minority groups etc. Also,
there was a huge amount of discrimination on the behalf of colour of a person. Actually, the law
was developed by government because discriminating someone on the basis of colour, gender
etc. can actually throw a very negative influence on the mental stability of the person. So, it has
also been observed that various incidents happened because of this as well. When the rate of
incidents increased, then the government took this initiative to control it by preventive measures.
One of the very well known way was implementing an Act. Also, the act says if anyone found
guilty in this, they may have to pay huge penalties and also their punishment can lead to
imprisonment as well. This Act can be considered as an efficient and appropriate way to promote
equality and diversity because everyone has a right to live free, without any boundation etc.
focusing on such factors is considered as a very appropriate way by which features like diversity
and equality can stay maintained. There is a huge need of equality and diversity in training and
education because after so many cases of incidents, it is very import ant for everyone to
understand the fact and its consequences. They should also analyze that some smaller
discrimination can even throw a very negative influence on an individual’s mental stability and
then can do anything. So, for avoiding such sort of incidents, it is very important that everyone
can realize the negative and dark effects of discriminating with someone and ensure not to
involve in any such activity. It is important because the Equality Act 2010 leads to huge
penalties and imprisonment for the persons involved in the same.
TASK 2
A. Reflection
My promotion for maintaining equality and diversity had some ups and downs but it would
have surely affected various people as well. During my teachings, I actually tried to make the

people understand that there are various people who in order to have some fun eve tease
somebody, but at that time, they forget that it can actually throw a very negative impact on the
person. Also, by such ways, an individual can think that there is something lacking in them, that
is why other ones are teasing him/her. This feeling can actually impact bad on the mental
stability of a person and can force the same to think that they are not perfect, so others are
teasing or discriminating them. So, I tried to explain them that just because for doing some sort
of fun and doing discrimination with an individual on the basis of color, race etc., is not cool.
Rather, it can reflect much negative. I made them understood various famous cases related to it. I
told them a very well know case when a boy goes for doing medical preparation and just because
their seniors wanted to have some fun, they made the boy do various activities and even forced
the boy as well. Due to it, the result was that the boy committed suicide and the other ones
responsible have been imprisonment. So, it somewhere affects both the lives. The boy died lost
his life because of this and the other individuals had been to prison, which also means excluding
from their daily and basic routines. So, I made them understand the whole concept widely and I
think, it would have really impacted positive enough on them to promote equality and diversity
among all.
B. Actions or strategies that can be used for achieving equality and diversity
Although there are various actions that can help in achieving diversity and equality, but some
that act can act more suitable and relevant enough for achieving equality and diversity are
discussed as under :
Changing the vision
It has been observed in various cases that there are still people who makes a difference
between the girls and boys but it is important to change this vision. This though can act
contradictory with the achievements girls have these days. So, it should be ensured that these
factors are completely irrelevant and should be completely excluded, then the generation can
move forward in an efficient way. Such types of thoughts often act as a challenging factor while
achieving the targets and goals.
Making people aware of policies
When the individuals will be aware of the policies that have been initiated by the
government such as the Equality Act 2010, it is obvious that the ones who are interested in such
facts will also think before doing any discrimination or racism. It is because it has been clearly
stated from the law that it is not allowed at all, whether it is on the basis of colour, race etc. it
should not be included in any organization. Also, the law says that anyone found guilty in this
act may have to pay huge penalties and also their punishment may lead to their imprisonment. It
depends on the frequency of the act is. So, people should be made aware of such Act’s and their
penalties so that no one can bear to involve in such factors. Also, it is important as well because
this can impact very badly on the person’s mental stability.

TASK 3
A. Classroom rule for promoting equality and diversity
Some factors of the classroom rule that can actually help in achieving diversity and equality
are discussed as under :
 The students should be made aware by different means, the importance of equality
and diversity.
 Also, some sessions can be organized in order to make them aware about the
importance of equality.
 It is important as well because any sort of racism or discrimination can throw a
negative influence on the mind of an individual.
 Also, proper monitoring can be implemented as well in order to achieve a sort of
sustainability in these factors, so that no person can get involved in such acts.
B. Professionals that can help in promoting school’s equality
The three professionals with whom I can involve in, in order to promote a wide range of
diversity and equality and these may involve the principal, chancellor and the vice chancellor.
We can make a proper structure that can help in maintaining a balance between different
operations. For this, cctv cameras can be involved in classes and in very area of the school
because if even in class or some other area of the school, some child is alone and if any others
are trying to bully the child, it can be very fast analyzed from checking the footage of the
cameras. So, it can actually help. Also, various programs can be initiated in which the students
can made understand the importance of equality and diversity along with the dark side of
discrimination. It can act essential as well because it will help them all in understanding it
actually, thus they can also focus on maintaining equality and diversity among all.
TASK 4
Practical steps that can be implemented by school
There can be various factors included by the school and its authorities in order to control
such issues like discrimination or racism and it is important as well because a large number of
incidents are happening because of it. Some steps that can be taken are discussed as under :
 The school can ensure organizing various sessions that can describe the importance of
culture. Also, various different cultural activities can be implemented o that everyone can
take part in it and can enjoy each other’s culture.
 By these means, the people can be able to know each other’s culture and understand the
fact that every culture has its own importance. This can also help in decreasing the rate of
issues such as racism or discrimination etc.

 Also, the school can ensure a regular monitoring such as involving the use of cctv
cameras to check that everything is going fine in the school. This will also help in
reducing the rate of issues and will help the students to analyze the importance of
equality and diversity.
TASK 5
A. Key things of teaching practice
There are various factors that play an important role while the teaching practice and some of
the very well known and common ones include understanding the importance of each culture
because it helps in understanding each culture widely. This helps in making a better analysis,
thus after analyzing every culture, it is obvious that the other person cannot discriminate
someone on such bases. Also, being a female, male or a transgender as well is not people’s own
choice. So, this should be ensured that there must not be any sort of racism on such basis because
it can actually impact very negative on an individual’s mental stability. It can also lead to factors
such as depression etc. which can further lead to multiple issues like suicidal attempts etc.
therefore, analyzing all these is very important as it helps in decreasing the overall arte of
incidents as well as issues.
A. Things that would have been better
The two things that could have been better are that the sessions that includes the analysis of
culture, gender inequality should be included in schools earlier because when the children will
understand the importance of these factors from childhood, then it can even help in ensuring the
fact that in the future, they will not involve in any such activity. So, on a overall basis, this can
help in minimizing the rate of these issues to a huge extent.
B. Impact on school’s equality n diversity
I think I made the children realize the impacts these factors can have on an individual’s life
such as there have been observed various cases and incidents in which after some sort of racism
and depression, the person can go into depression etc., and further they can try various activities
to cope with the stress such as being addicted to alcohol, trying suicidal attempts etc. therefore, I
made them realize that these factors can spoil the life of a person to a huge extent and I think that
is my achievement through out that can help in maintaining the school’s equality and diversity
agenda to a huge extent.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the report that maintaining equality and diversity is a very
important factors because it can help in minimizing the overall rate of issues that are happening
in the society. Also, various government policies have been initiated that can help in resolving
the issue to a huge extent. Also, there are various strategies and rules that can be implemented in

order to decrease the rate of issues and thus, help in maintaining an efficient level of diversity
and equality.
