Abstract
The potential usage of Artificial Intelligence depends on the perception of the users as well as
the developers. The purpose of this research is to explore how the closest associated
individuals perceive this technology as beneficial or non-beneficial development. This study
comprised with a survey method conducted on 15 students of computer technology and
machine learning. It has been found from this study, that AI is a very well known factor in
new generation, whereas they still have some ambiguities regarding the integrity and
usefulness of AI.

Introduction:
Nowadays Artificial Intelligence is a burning topic in computer technology and
computer study, which also influences the future possibilities of using augmented reality and
Super computer (Russell and Norvig 2016). The acceptance of these technologies depends on
the perception of the users as well as the developers. The purpose of this research is to
explore how the closest associated individuals perceive this technology as beneficial or non-
beneficial development. The aim of this study is to find out the perception of the students of
computer technology regarding the potentialities of utilization of Artificial Intelligence in
near future. The study result will also be discussed with the relevant literatures and published
reports. In the next section of this report, the method of this research will be discussed with
details and the research results will be presented.
Background Literature:
In computer science and technology, the term artificial intelligence denotes the
superior level intelligent of machines that can display the similar potentiality as a complex
natural organism like Human. In modern society, computer or computing technologies are
used in calculative analysis that needs rational numeric computations (Michalski et al. 2013).
However, human intelligence consists of three basic intellectual abilities namely Emotional
Intelligence, Cognitive Intelligent and Social Intelligence. A machine or technological system
can be considered as self-aware and self-conscious after achieving these three intelligence
with proper decision-making power. From the middle of 1980’s the machine learning or
robotics is improving consistently (Hovy et al. 2013). Today with large amount of data

lower level AI interventions such as procedurally generated information, Advance
information management system, Genetic algorithm based problem solving and others.
Research Design:
The research design is the foundation and structure of a research that defines the study
perception, analytical techniques other part of the study. The research designs can be
classified into three categories Exploratory, Explanatory and Descriptive (Lewis 2015). This
research is aimed to explore the perception of target population about the AI technologies
without having any pre-assumption or Hypothesis. Therefore, the design of this research is
Exploratory research design.
Research method:
This research is based on the primary data collation and analysis. A survey has been
conducted on the target population with structured reflective questionnaire. The target
population of this survey is the students of machine learning or robotics learning courses.
The sample size was 15 robotics students of undergraduate courses. Therefore, this data
collection has followed the non-probability selective sampling. The Survey paper was given
to the students after receiving the acknowledgement for participating in this survey. The
questionnaire has been developed by yes/no question and Likert scale based multiple-choice
question. For this research, the quantitative analysis has been done with statistical
interventions. After collecting the survey result, it has been analyzed by descriptive statistics
involving mean, median, mode and standard deviation to formulate accurate conclusion. The
data analysis has been presented through various graphical expressions, such as pie chart, bar
chart and others.

Discussion
According to the result, most of the students were from robotics background. The
mean value of 3.4 clearly indicates that most of the students agreed that they consider them as
someone who enjoys technology and all its uses. It clearly indicates that most of the students
are not only perusing the courses about technology, they are also involved in the technology
related environment and usage. The mean familiarity value with Artificial Intelligence is 3,
where 4 was denoted for Extremely Familiar and 0 was denoted as Not at all Familiar. More
than 73% participants agreed that they are familiar with the concept of AI. The mean value of
supporting “A.I will take away jobs and decrease the job market” is 1.67. That clearly
indicates that most of the student disagreed about this perception. However, the level of
disagreed participants was not considerably high (Hutter et al. 2016).
When it comes to the feelings about having AI in home or devise 40% participants
replied that they will be happy. Only 26.67% replied that they would be exited. At the same
time 6.67% replied they would be threatened by the presence of AI. Only about 67%

participants replied with positive response. Therefore, it can be clearly seen that the new
generation has still a considerable amount of ambiguity about the ultimate integrity of AI
usage (Timms 2016). The mean value of becoming part of the AI development is 2.8, which
indicates high interest towards the technology. It is clear that about 65% would be happy to
be involved in AI development projects.
Conclusion:
From the above findings analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that AI is a very
well known factor in new generation. However, they still have some ambiguities regarding
the integrity and usefulness of AI. At the same time, the high interest towards this emerging
technology indicates that in next few years AI development is going to experience many
revolutionary improvements.
