INTRODUCTION
Structure of each and every business get vary from each other which need to evaluate by
managers of a company in an appropriate and suitable manner. Managers are the one whom
responsible to made flexible organisation hierarchy so that effective and absolute working
operations could be done (Burrell and Morgan, 2017). In this report, differ kinds of business get
organise with their different structure in order to met up with aims and objectives. Along with
this, manager also want to determine about the various kinds of communication system which
facilitate effective working. This get done by considering Brooklands Hotel and they lead to
evaluate two different kinds of business which are hybrid organisation and Voluntary.

1.1 Features of three type of organisational structure
Organizational structures can be “tall,” meaning they have many tiers between the
common worker and the owner of the company, or they can be “flat,” meaning there are very
few levels between the common worker and the owner (Ismail and et. al., 2017). These structures
also vary in how those strata are defined:

effective working could be done at the time of expansion. This will assist them in brining out
positive reflection where they suppose to opt matrix type of managing and facilitating activities.
1.2 Effectiveness of each kind of business
There are various kinds of business or organisations get evaluated in business
environment which have their own efficiency and effectiveness of working (Johnson, 2016).
Thus, their effectiveness towards working need to determine properly so that major benefits
could be gain. The two business which get assess by manager of Brooklands Hotel are: Hybrid: These term as such associations which operates in both the public sector and the
private sector simultaneously, fulfilling public duties and developing commercial market
activities (Närman, Johnson and Gingnell, 2016). This kind of business creates a unified
team of individuals with a common goal and different experience and interest levels.
Voluntary: These are such entities which consisting of volunteers. Such organizations
may be able to operate without legal formalities, depending on jurisdiction, including
informal clubs. They are effective in nature just because always support society to grow
by removing issues and problems.
2.1Structure of three types of communication systems found within an organisation
Communication can be categorized into three basic types:
(1) Verbal communication, in which you listen to a person to understand their meaning
(2) Written communication, in which you read their meaning
(3) Non-verbal communication
Verbal communication: Communication process can be defined as a process of message
transmission from a sender to a receiver in understandable way. It is very important to master

communication skills in our professional as well as personal lives. Communication process
consists of five key steps:
1. Idea formation
2. Message encoding
3. Message transmission (through communication channel)
4. Message decoding
5. Feedback (not necessarily present in a communication process)
Non verbal communication: This process includes of two section which are:
Vocal and Non vocal which enable and facilitate to transfer message from one person to
another (Salas-Fumás, Sáenz-Royo and Lozano-Rojo, 2016). Thus, non verbal communication
process lengthy in frame as well as it consume more time frame as well. Thus, message delivery
process need more time in order to process whole consideration properly.
2.2 Evaluate the effects each communication system may have on an organisation
Every communication system have their own effectiveness which need to assess and
determine by manager of a company in an appropriate frame. Thus, management need to
determine the effect of each communication system properly which made positive reflection on
better working understanding (Schneider, 2017). The three major kinds of communication
system which taking place in every kind of business are: Verbal: This communication system take place through speaking and transfer of
information done frequently. This kind of process usually adopted by many small firms
where interaction with manager and boss of an employee is high. This process system is
effective as it facilitate an option to transfer message from one person to another properly
with suitable gaps. This communication system could use by Brooklands Hotel but not at
the time of expansion. As at the time of expansion they deal at vast level where
appropriate hierarchy need to follow. Non verbal: This kind of communication lead to take place when chances of duplicate are
high. All things get deliver and made it understand with gesture and other associated
sections. This process is also not easy and adopt for some special challenge individuals
only. For analysing an individual, non verbal communication process or system is
appropriate where all message could made it understand with suitable reflection.

Written: This communication process is time consuming in nature where number of
information need to deliver through mails and other written format considerations. This is
more time consuming in nature where decision for frequent problems not get done
properly. Sometimes, business lead to incur loss as well while adopting this. Brooklands
Hotel could use this system at the time of expansion.
Thus, evaluation of these three system stated that verbal and written communication system are
appropriate. In this, decision making process become easy as well as with written
communication appropriate and suitable proof or record could be maintain and manage.

3.1 Characteristics of three organisational culture
Culture which used to present in a company get vary from each other. In this aspect,
management need to determine their values properly and then implement it into business and its
working (Shaban, Duygun and Fry, 2016). Brooklands Hotel evaluate three major organisational
culture which they could implement into business and its working which are as follow with their
characteristics: Tough Guy Culture: Tough guy culture is basically another way of saying micro-
management. Employees are monitored every step of the way and when something does
not meet the standards or expectations of the company the employee is given guidance
and monitored further. It can be a tough (hence the name) environment for some to work
in especially if you are independent and have a creative mind. An example of this would
be in a customer service role. Most companies have scripts that customer service
representatives must follow when answering calls in a call centre. Process culture: This type of office culture provides a set of regulations and procedures
that the employees follow (Tonnisson, 2017). It’s different than the normative culture as
the regulations are not a bullet-pointed list of do and dont's so much as it is an ideology
that the employees adhere to. Employees know what they are getting into when they sign-
up and are often self-starters. Unlike tough guy culture, these employees are not micro-
managed and they rarely are given performance reviews.
Bet your company culture: This culture is for the patient risk-takers. Organizations that
follow this culture are known to literally bet the success or failure of their company on

single decisions of which the outcome is completely unknown. It can be a wild ride
working for this type of company as you don’t know what each day is going to bring. The
consequences of the decisions made by the individuals working in the bet-your-company
culture can be so dire that the company goes under; contrarily, they can be so excellent
that the company thrives more than ever before.
Out of all of these kind of culture, management can go with the process culture attribute so that
they become able to maintain and manage their working properly. All general rules and
guidelines required to follow up by individual of a company so that better and supportive
working lead to underpin properly. Brooklands need to implement this culture at workplace so
that better and supportive results lead to determine in an agreed format.
3.2 Impact on an organisation of each of the chosen cultures
It is really important for manager to determine the impact of such culture on business and
its working (Willis, 2017). This consideration will enable to sustain into keen market world so
that better and effective working led to get done. Brooklands Hotel need to identify the impact of
these culture on business for managing efficacy: Tough-Guy– This culture contains a world of individualists who enjoy risk and who get
quick feedback on their decisions. This is an all-or-nothing culture where successful
employees are the ones who enjoy excitement and work very hard to be stars. The
entertainment industry, sports teams and advertising are great examples of this cultural
type. This culture will lead to made positive reflection on business and its activities as
they become able to improve their performance as well by evaluating feedback and
determine risk. Process – In this culture, feedback is slow, and the risks are low. Large retailers, banks,
insurance companies and government organizations are typically in this group. No single
transaction has much impact on the organization's success and it takes years to find out
whether a decision was good or bad. Because of the lack of immediate feedback,
employees find it very difficult to measure what they do so they focus instead on how
they do things. Technical excellence is often valued here and employees will pay
attention to getting the process and the details right without necessarily measuring the
actual outcome.

impact where management need to understand their working options properly.

associated outcome could be determine for maximising values. Employees: Internal interference get done with employees of a company. Management
need to identify motivation factors for their employees so that they could provide
appropriate and suitable return. Employees play an important role in order to maximise
productivity and profitability of a business.
Management: The third and last employee or stakeholder for a business is management.
They play an important role to frame strategies, mission, vision for a company in
facilitating operations properly and effectively.

and single thing. It required appropriate understanding of employees, stakeholders, culture,
communication. With these aspects, business could become possible to maintain their working
