Communication and Thought2 Interpersonal communication alludes to the process by which individuals get to share feelings, information, and meaning by either verbal means or non-verbal ones, it is merely face to face communication. This type of connection does not just emphasize what is being communicated somewhat also how the conversation ensues (Baker, 2013). In instances where two people meet at a given location, whether aware of each other’s presence or not, the communication is taking place despite how subtle it may seem. In any conversation, the recipient will give a response to the content of the information they have received, and this translates to the feedback (De Janasz, 2014). In essence, for there to be clear communication, and the assurance that delivery of an intended message has occurred, there needs to be an answer directed to the bearer of that message. Feedback should be as a response to a particular behaviour and not the personality type of the other communicating party, this bolsters the acuteness of the answer. Apparently, feedback should describe the impact that someone’s behaviour has had on an individual, and this can be portrayed in specificity in line with certain actions exhibited by the other person on a given occasion. The aspect of timeliness also has a great effect on the efficacy of feedback, a response should not be delayed as in turn the feedback may have a severed accuracy, feedback should be prompt. A great aspect concerning feedback is that it should encompass the emotional propensity to receive feedback. An instance of when there is a difficulty in giving feedback is when addressing an angry person. It is best to wait for them to calm a bit. Interpersonal communication thus helps in the giving and collection of information, make contacts and the maintenance of healthy relationships, making decisions and creation of problem-solving capacity and making decisions and solving problems.
