Describe the global supply chain of the Apple iPhone by identifying its supply chain members
and how they interconnected.
Supply chain is the network between company and its suppliers who are producing and
distributing a specific product and distribute them to the final customer. It consists of various
activities like people, entities, information and resources. Apple is one of the famous companies
of technology. It is famous for its innovations and designs. As it purchases various components
and materials from various suppliers, then they shipped into China that material and then from
China products are being shipped to the customers through online markets or Apple online store
(Gopalakrishnan, and et.al., 2020). There are various supply chains members which are involved
in this company. Asa theses are discussed below:
Producers: Producers are the one who are manufactures whoa makes a product. They are
the suppliers who are being involved in the company to provides raw material to the company nd
results in getting providing finished goods to the company. Apple company receives its raw
material from the company. Producers are the suppliers in the company as they are more
involved in the company structure and results in providing them proper products and services.
Apple reportedly has becoming more price advantages because they are securing key
components and manufacturing capacity, and capital equipment’s.
Distributors: Distributors of the Apple company take inventory or products bulk from the
producers and delivered them to online retiling stores or to directly to the customers. Distributors
are also known as wholesalers. They sell their products and services in large qualities to the
business or retiling stores. Distributors bumper producers from variations in products demand by
inventory and doing so much of sales work to target customers. In further, products promotions
and sales are another function which is being performed by the distributor in order to manage all
the warehouses operations and products transportation.
Retailers: Retailers are the one who sell in smaller quantities to them to general customers.
The organisations ask the preferences of the customers and provide them products accordingly
(Khorasani, Cross, and Maghazei, 2020). In context of this Apple company, they are focusing on
the company products and provides them accordingly. In this Apple company the retailers are
online retailing stores or the physical shops that are existing in the market. Company provides
