INTRODUCTIONEvery enterprise carry out various business activities in order to earn huge amount ofprofits. For this, it is very important for enterprises to ensure that they will fulfil their roles andresponsibilities in an effective way relate with health and safety. Various factors are there thathelp managers in minimise the risk and support him to formulate effective strategies forbusiness. Basically effectiveness of health and social care homes are evaluated on the quality ofservices and products they offer to its customers (Akpınar, Küçükgüçlü and Yener, 2011). As perthe given scenario, Aldgate East Care Home is taken under this report for study. Variouspolicies, process and systems follow in health and social home to communicate with itsemployees and customers is detailed under this. Further, effectiveness of various policies whichcreate and encourage positive work environment at workplace is all mentioned in this. Alongwith this, roles and responsibilities of both individuals and organisation during process oftreatment is all mentioned in this. TASK 11.1 Systems, policies and procedures for communicate information in workplace of health andsocial careVarious number of procedures and policies are there for communicating information inhealth and social care workplace. From all those one act called data protection act is veryrelevant. As per the data protection act 1998 it is responsibility of services user to that personalinformation about the individual with whom he work should remain secure and confidential.Information of an individual can be disclosed to another person if the concerned individual givehis consent (Borgelt, Buchman and Illes, 2012). Various enterprises use different procedures forcheck an individual's right to know. Basically they ask for basic documents such as ID proofwhich demonstrates their right to know. If that individual does not have any proof than they askthe questions which a service user believes. Different legislations are there which support healthand safety in a workplace related with health and safety. Main legislation which must be considerby Aldgate East Care Home are stated below:Health and safety at workplace act 1974: Number of issues which rise or take place atworkplace are covered in this. As per this workers of heath and social care are obligatedto take care of other individuals and cooperate with managers. With the help of this,1

managers of Aldgate East Care Home can better distribute the roles and responsibilitiesto all employees and this way can offer effective services to all its customers. Management of health and safety at work regulations 1992: As per this act, employers offirm are liable to carry out assessment of risk and then record the relevant findings (Choand Shin, 2015). Employer is one who remain responsible to make all arrangements forensure effective implementation of various measures of health and safety, to develop andset a procedure to be follow by employers in emergency conditions, offer proper trainingto employees and many more. Health and safety regulations 1981: According to this act, it is responsibility of employersto ensure proper first aid resources and employees at workplace at any time. Allemployees must be aware about all arrangements related with first aid. 1.2 Responsibilities in health and social care for management of servicesProvision of health and safety in health and social care workplace is planned bygovernment. UK government has a health care and public health system. Under this,responsibilities are distributed to health department from local authorities. This includesservices providers, service takers, monitoring system, clinical groups and local health. Basicallythis is integrated system under which all organisational bodies are liable related with the healthand safety in health and social care workplace. Management of services related with health andcare in health and social care workplace is one of the important element. Management of healthand safety includes the following:Systematic use of methods: It is very essential to use various techniques in a systematicmanner for identify and remove hazards exist in health and social care workplace. Controlling the risk: Management and control of risk is another important element(Fanneran, Kingston and Bradley, 2013). For this manager of Aldgate East Care Homecan use different techniques in order to direct the behaviour of individual with the aim ofcontrol the risk. Implement various practices: With this context, managers of firm are responsible toexecute different practices related with health and safety at workplace.
