INTRODUCTIONIn great Britain, health and safety act 1974 referred as the primary legislation which isgoverning workplace in Britain. This includes some rules and regulations of health and safetythat helps to integral management of health and safety at workplace. This act of health and safety1974 also explain roles and duties of employees, employer and members of public atworkplace. This health and safety act 1974 helps to identify roles and duties of their employeesand also helps to identify risk in working so that they can overcome those risks in their workingability to make it perfect by explaining the different guidelines of the health and safety.LO 11.1 review system, policies and procedures for communicating information on health and socialcare workplacePolicies can be referred as set of guidelines and principles that helps to direct employeesof an organization. This also helps to outline long term goals of an organization in order toprotect its interest in organization (Alzheimer Europe, 2015). Fleetwood Hall Home is health and safety workplace which is operated independently inorder to provide continuous health and safety services to their users followed by instructions attheir organization. There are many acts such as Workplace Regulations 1992, Health and Safetyat Work Act 1974, Working Time Regulations 1998 and management of health and safety atwork regulation 1999, all these regulations and acts are being used and applied in Fleetwood HallHome in order to protect rights of their employees and provide them safety at workplace. Allthese legislations at Fleetwood Hall Home give them ease to their management to effectivelyoperate all their operations in organization.In order to record and inform about any injuries, incidents at workplace, Reporting ofInjuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrence (RIDDOR) Regulations 1995 is being used. Thishelp management of organization to record any injury in workplace and also enablesemployers of organization to effectively communicate with their patients and other employees.They must communicate verbally, written, via email and in other form to inform about any injuryand incidents (Bennett, 2014). As according to law, employers, self employed individuals,controller need to record death, injury, and any hazardous happenings so that they can senddetailed report to their upper authority, if they found any errors in report, employers have to

make changes (CQC, 2015). This helps Fleetwood Hall Home, to report and record informationabout any injury, and incidents at workplace, so that employees can support higher authorityby giving them detailed information about the injury. This act enables employees and employerto have conversation verbally or via other methods like through public notice board, posters andemail to higher authority. Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, 2002 act is being used to protect rights ofemployees of organization and other person in workplace from any risk and hazards andinjury that can be happened by using any substances at workplace (Dickens, 2016). This act atworkplace provide training to employees, to train them how to use safety measures. Withhelp of this act, management also provide vital and detailed information so that employers canmanage thee harmful substances. Effective communication plays vital role in exchanging information via graphics, writingor speaking. In Fleetwood Hall Home in order to report higher authority at Fleetwood HallHome workplace communication help a lot. This communication or exchange and sharing orideas and information can be done through speaking, mouth of words, graphics and written formof communication. If employee do not have effective communication, then management oforganization also conduct training programmes to improve their communication skills. Inwritten communication, email is being used (Drennan and Goodman, 2014).In order to have verbal communication and provide safety measures and informationverbally to their employees. As verbal communication is exchange and sharing of ideas throughvoice transfer to one another and receiving message. It is an effective way to communicate, but itmay also lead to misunderstanding as well, when employees have different language then it willcreate problem to understand information and guidelines of the health and safety, To improvethis, employees of Fleetwood Hall Home must use suitable language so that everyone canunderstand easily what speaker says. It is necessary for staff to be mindful as verbal form ofcommunication may lead to misinterpretation because of difficulties in understanding whileinformation is sharing.Another way to communicate and sharing information about injury and incident to upperauthority is written communication which is more powerful and effective way.
