INTRODUCTIONDestination planning can be defined as the procedure of developing a plan foradministrating as well as managing the visitors economic at specific destination. An effectivedestination planning is heavily dependent on continuous planning procedure which integratestourism into economic, community, social and environmental aspirations. The main purpose ofdestination planning is to preserve the beauty of particular destination and protect the heritagefrom being destroyed by tourists. Destination selected for the present report is London eye. It isbasically worlds largest cantilevered observation wheel. Coca-cola London wheel was speciallydesigned by person name Marks Barfield during the year 2000. London eye is among one of themost popular destination. The specific destination has become symbol of modern London. The report will have focus on identification of policy approaches for managingthe development as well as regeneration of specific destination such as London eye. It alsoemphasizes on analysing the way tourism planning could be executed for sustainabledevelopment of destination.TASK 1. Identification of policies approaches for managing the development and regeneration ofTourism destination. Destination development is defined as a strategic planning procedure which is mainlyconcerned with the creation of an attractive destinations for tourists. The key componentsinvolved in the planning of tourist destination include analysis of market, determination ofavailability of resources, financial , social and economic analysis. Development or regenerationof tourist place at regular interval of time is very much essential for managing or increasing theflow of tourist at London eye or other tourist destination in UK (Soulard, Perdue and McGehee,2018.). The destination planning involves various types of planning related to the utilisation ofland, economic development, infrastructure planning etc. It is the plan which has been made inorder to maintain the competitiveness of particular destinations (Pulido-Fernández and Merinero-Rodríguez, 2018.). The tourism policy development is considered to be as complex procedurewhich includes different agencies, stakeholders, community and non -governmental organization.At the London eye destination there are several places to explore such as London eye rivercruise. London eye management Ltd. Is basically an organization which is registered in Wales
and England. The certain policies which are formulated by the London eye management servicelimited is mainly responsible for managing the development as well as regeneration of Londoneye. Visitors visiting London eye for gaining the 4 D cinema experience are subject to followingterm s as well as conditions, for instance :Tourist in order to gain the Experience of 4 D cinema is required to purchase the tickets.Tourist can purchase tickets individually or a private capsule. Only 25 persons areallowed to experience 4D cinema on per private capsule . In addition to this, peoplebelonging to the above 18 years of age can only experience the 4 D cinema.Considering the comfort as well as safety of tourist, the London eye management Ltd.Policy that tourist visiting London eye should wear shirts as well as shoes while visitingthe eye (Milano, Novelli and Cheer, 2019).Tourist can not take sharp things with them as it could cause serious en jury to them. According to the policy developed by the London eye management Ltd. Tourist areprohibited to carry dangerous articles with them while visiting to London Eye, LondonEye River Cruise , Jubilee garden etc.Smoking cigarettes by Tourist is also prohibited especially in 4D cinema as well as insidecountry hall.Tourist are prohibited to carry straws or plastic item with them at London eyerdestination.2. Analysing the way holistic tourism planning can be implemented for the sustainabledevelopment of destination.The main aim of holistic tourism planning is to increase the positive effect of tourism oneconomy, culture. It is the holistic tourism planning which positively influence people to thinkabout the impact of tourism on domestic economy m environment and culture. The number of ofstakeholders has been involved in development as well as regeneration of London eyedestination. Formulation of an effective tourism plan is considered to be as an initial step towardsthe development as well as regeneration of London eye destination (Rassal, Correia and Serra,2018.). In context of development as well as regeneration of London eye destination, the tourismplanning will mainly emphasize on providing the good experience to visitors.
