IntroductionIn this report, the competencies have been stated which are essential for success in theprofessional area. As HR has become more of a strategic partner which uses more metrics, so itis possible that their estimated competencies will continue to develop. There has been discussionon the two key competencies that the HR professionals require in the future to be importantstrategic partners for utilizing metrics to exhibit their significance.Key competencies for HR professionals that utilize HR metrics1.KnowledgeThe key competency is of attaining knowledge of the business. If HR professional is aware of thebusiness then he is capable of adapting the HR activities according to the changing environment.Whenever an individual gets involved into strategic discussions then it is important that there iscomplete knowledge of different aspects (Goodwin, 2010).It is important to have the basiccomputer knowledge because nowadays most of the businesses are working on computertechnologies. Therefore it is important that HR professionals are aware of using those tools andtechnology. So for being valuable business partners these professionals have to be aware of thebusiness(Ulrich, Younger, Brockbank & Ulrich, 2012).2.A Commitment to Ongoing HR LearningToday’s business setting is complicated and in a situation of steady instability. The area of HR isvibrant, and self-motivation is the skill needed to practice and understand HR. For the growth ina job there is a need to be flexible to new concepts.
