INTRODUCTION Human resource management can be referred as the process of recruitment, selection, including the hiring of the best workforce in the organization who can contribute effectively in order op achieve the task of the organization. Lastly different HRM practices will be defined with the help of this report of human resource management. PART 1 TASK 1 HRM practices are adopted by organizations to formulate strategies which will help them in gainingcompetitiveadvantageandincreasingtheefficiencyoftheorganizationthrough managing their employees which in turn also increases the productivity. A) Purpose and Importance of HRM. Purpose of HRM :- The various purposes of HRM involve Planning, Selection, Training and development etc.(5 Purposes of the Human Resource Department,2016). Planning :-The HRM department of any organization needs to plan in advance regarding the personnel to be employed and its requirement. Chocolate Presence also requires a plan which is integrated with employees' goals and organizational goals. Recruitment :-The basic purpose of HRM is performing recruitment and selection activities for its employees. Chocolate Presence needs to restructure its recruitment practices recently the
process has proved to become redundant. So the employees need to be hired after careful evaluation and stricter rules need to be implemented. Training and Development :-This is another very important purpose of HRM activities and is necessary in preparing the hired employees to perform their duties. At Chocolate Presence, employees need proper training as the present operations are proving to lack in certain aspects. They need to prepare employees to perform present duties and also be able to undertake higher jobs. Performance Appraisal :-Regular incentives are given to employees after their performance evaluation. At Chocolate Presence, the employees are regularly evaluated on the basis of the work performed by them, and then they are given monetary or non monetary incentives. Importance of HRM :- Maintaining Work Life Balance :-At every organization, there should be proper balance between the employees and the management of the company. At Chocolate Presence; HRM aims to achieve satisfied employees working with them so that they can enhance the innovation and provide better services. Increase employee retention :-HRM practices helps in utilization of all the human resources available in the organization so that long term objectives can be fulfilled. For this a motivated employeepersonnelisnecessary.ChocolatePresenceadoptsvariousemployeeappraisal techniques to reduce the employee turnover. Attain Sustainability in the market :-HRM is also important as it helps in maintaining a secured position of the organization in the present market scenario (Chang and Chin, 2018). Chocolate presence can achieve this only by giving excellent results and wok on the falling quality of some of its products thus improving both efficiency and effectiveness. Performance Evaluation :-At Chocolate Presence, the performance of employees is regularly evaluated so that the deserving employees can be sufficiently rewarded. Further, the interview time is very short of only 15 minutes that to informal in nature. The Chocolate Presence company can increase the levels in the procedure by introducing more rounds. For e.g. :- A brainstorming activity can be included in the
process so that the innovative capability can be evaluated while hiring for the designing department. They provide the internship programs for the Bachelor's, Master's, MBA and PhD programs, with the help of this internship they give the opportunities to learn and grow more. These training and internship program have the advantages and disadvantages for both employee and Microsoft company.
