INTRODUCTION
Human Resource Management may be referred as strategic approach that helps organisation in
achieving competitive advantage along with maximising performance of workforce (Tepebasi
and Kozanoglu, 2021). It also facilitates in accomplishment of organisational goals effectively
and efficiently. In addition to that, Human Resource Management helps in filling gaps between
organisation’s strategic objectives and employee’s performance. It is important for organisation
to recruit right candidate for filling vacant job position of company. This project report is based
on Dyson, a multinational technology based company founded in 1993 by James Dyson. This
project report will cover a brief intro of chosen company along with job description and job
specification. Along with this, it will cover HRM process which can be implemented in chosen
department. At last, it will cover benefits and key elements to Dyson.
TASK
Company introduction
Dyson, a multinational technology based company that manufactures household appliances such
as vacuum cleaners, hand dryers, hair dryers, air purifiers and bladeless fans. It has more than
12000 employees worldwide. Company operates in various countries and provides products
worldwide. Dyson announced that it wants to bring innovation in its operations by opting
sustainable technology. This will help in minimising negative impact of company’s operations
towards environment. It intends to manufacture its own electric vehicles. In 2021, it unveils a
prototype known as N526. In addition to that, company wants to setup solar panels so as to
minimise dependency on power grids. This will help company in elevating brand image as well
as in generating more profit. In upcoming years, company wants to opt sustainability in its
process so as to remain competitive in dynamic business market.
Job Analysis
Job analysis may be referred as a systematic process of collecting all required information about
a specific job which includes roles, skill requirements, process and responsibilities so as to create

a valid job description (Salim,, 2020). It also provides an overview of emotional and physical
related human qualities in order to execute job successfully. This approach is opted by Dyson so
as to ensure that right candidate is hired. By hiring right candidate, it becomes easier for
company to accomplish organisational goals. Following is the job description and job

linked to profitability of company. Sales manager consist of team and by avoiding their
performance may lead to delay in attainment of objectives and adversely affects company’s
performance. Performance management is crucial for Dyson as it facilitates in contributing
towards company’s goals. In addition to that, it establishes a uniform standard for evaluating post
of sales manager as well as helps in identifying strengths and weaknesses. Along with this, it also
encourages communication between manger and employees (Elembilassery, 2021). Following
are some methods by which Dyson can review performance of Sales manager.
Performance Review Methods
Comparative method – In this method, management of Dyson can evaluate performance
of sales manager by comparing actual performance by pre-set standards. This will help
company in identifying weakness and allows in taking corrective measures in order to

From the above project report it was concluded that Human Resource Management plays an
important role in elevating success of company. In context to Dyson, it opts this approach so as
to formulate strategy in order to hire right candidate for right job role. Company can follow
Human Resource Planning so as to forecast demand of manpower required to perform job role.
In addition to that, there are various forecasting methods by which Dyson can identify need of
employees. Job description demonstrates various elements of job such as roles and
