The researcher conducted a study using a thematic approach to represent data from 15 respondent employees of Bulgari Hotel. Topic of research: Impact of digital technology on transformation of business
operational practices and activities: A study of Bulgari hotel, London.
Background of study:
Technology has been playing important part for each organisation since few last decades
in terms of helping various business practices in industry (Beetham and Sharpe, eds., 2013). In
context of digital technology, it has helped each business sector to smoothly completion to their
day to day activities. In today's world, digital technology has been grown at advanced level and it
is making great impact upon running of business operational and other functional activities in
respective manner.
In terms of hotel industry, the technology has performed a vital role to conduct all
business operational and functional activities in an appropriate form. Several day-to-day
operational works are being done at workplace and with the help of digital applications; hotel
industry is growing well in their separated sector.
The report will indicate about digital technological instruments that have played an
important role in terms of helping enterprises in achieving their desired business goals and
objectives. Involvement of technological evolution has helped the hospitality industry to gain
desired success in marketplace.
In this context, the following project will be assessed on the impact of digital
technologies on day-to-day operational and other business functional practices of Bulgari Hotel,
London. The hotel is doing variety of marketing and promotional activities or day to day
operational practices to completion of each business task. For completion of it, its professionals
are utilising digital instruments to automation of several business process effectively.
Furthermore, the report will be investigated on preparing project management plan in which
covers, cost, risk, time, communication and quality etc. (Bell, 2014). work background structure
and Gantt Chart will be prepared by the researcher that displaying the series of activities on the
time to accurately frame the study. The report also discusses on specific aim and objectives of

study and an analytical data would be gathered by the researcher. So in this context, the aim and
objectives of the research project which is as follows:

Interpretation: In the survey conducted at Bulgari Hotel, the researcher asked about types of
digital technology being utilised to improve its performance level. The major purpose of asking
this question to know about actual digital tools which is most used by company to performing
well in industry. From the assessment, out of 15 respondent samples, 8 employees were agreed
with utilisation of mobile technology at workplace most to performing well. 3 employees have

for organisation growth and sustainable development in industry. In this case, the researcher has

advanced mobile technological instrument and updates software can clear the way to provision
of variety of hospitality facilities in the hotel. In addition, 3 employees were agreed with self
check in services to reducing the employees efforts to frequent check in each room, which is
time consuming. 2 employees were agreed with using of social media networking to connecting

In context of analyse the research data., the investigator has utilised precise or
appropriate research methodology approach (Boss and Krauss, 2014). Research methodology
assist the researcher to framing the researcher in respective manner and execution of each
analysis practices in designing form. Appropriate research methodology has implemented by
researcher to helping end user of the report to identify the frameworks of researcher and relevant
actions which has been taken by them during research.
Research philosophy: Research philosophy assist the researcher to make belief on the
framework of research to analysing and interpretation of the gathered data in report. This is the
first step of the research, which has been utilised by researcher from research Onion to attain aim
and objective of the report effectively (Burns, 2015). It assists the researcher to complying with
difficult data and case studies.
Research design: This is a general guideline which assist the researcher to solution the
research questions. In the present report, the researcher has utilised the exploratory research
design approach to understanding the cause and effect of research.
Research approach: Research approach has used by researcher which is, deductive
research approach to know about validity of hypothesis. By this, researcher will be able to attain
aim and objectives of the investigation.
Research strategy: Research strategy which is being utilised by researcher which assist
them to set the aim and objectives of the study respectively (Flewitt, Messer and Kucirkova,
2015). In order to analysing and gathering relevant data, the researcher has used both qualitative
and quantitative investigation strategy to accomplishment of determined aim and objectives of
study.
Data collection: The manner of gathering data collection is knowns as data collection
approach. In order to collect relevant data for the researcher used primary and secondary both
sources where the data can be collected efficiently.

Sampling: In the preset research, investigator has selected 15 employees of Bulgari Hotel
which is associated with management department of the organisation. The researcher has used
the simple random sampling approach to selection of sampling (Griffin and Care, eds., 2014.).
Data analysis: Transferring raw data into important and meaningful data is known as
data analysis method. The researcher has utilised hermetical research approach by displaying
data, graph and interpretation of gather data from targeted sampling.
Ethical consideration: During carry out research study, ethical consideration is necessary
part for researcher to take while completion of investigation (Flood,Heath and Lapp, 2015). It
furnishes valuable guidelines to researcher which is needed to be considered to make research
fair ethically. While collection of relevant data from Bulgari Hotel's employees and management
team, researcher has taken care about all ethical norms which must be taken into account by a
researcher while execution of research.
Research limitations:
 Determination of appropriate aim and objectives of the research, it was a very confusing
and complicated tasks for the researcher.
 Selection of gathering data is also one of the difficult tasks for researcher which must be
taken into account carefully.

Utilisation of mobile technology: Mobile technology is one of the best approach for Bulgari
Hotel, which must be implemented by its management team to regular communicate each
functionalities of the business at workplace. So it is recommended that, Bulgari Hotel's
management department must need to implement updated mobile technology.
Live chat feature: Live chat is one of the effective digital tool which can be utilised by Bulgari
Hotel's management department to interact with several departments of the hotel at one time
(García-Peñalvo,2016). With the help of this feature, they can take direct live feedback from
existing customer about their hospitality facilities. So it is recommended that, the hotel need to
use of this tool.
Training and development: The hotel management team require to frequent conduction of
training and development program at workplace in order to making familiar its existing
employees with digital technology. It is duty for management team to provision of appropriate
training program to its employees.

P.7.Reflection
Formation of an appropriate research project is complicated tasks for researcher. In this
context, I have conducted the research on the study of analysing the impact of digital technology
on transformation of business operation and other business practices on Bulgari Hotel.
Technology has helped the hotel to enhancement of business criteria and its performance level at
great stage. Numbers of digital tools and techniques are being utilised by its professionals at
workplaces to completion of day to day business operational practices. During completion of
projection, I have prepared project management planning to completion of each project tasks as
per predetermined planning. Network diagram and Gantt Chart also have prepared by researcher
in the study.
Beside from it. During completion of further tasks of the research, I have utilised the
research methodology that help me to proper framing of the research as per its guidelines. With
the help of the researcher methodology method, I have been provided appropriate guidelines
about gathering appropriate information about the research topic. In context of gather data, I
have selected 15 respondent employees of Bulgari Hotel who has provided me appropriate
information about research questionnaire which has been asked by me. With the help of the
relevant data, I have used thematic approach to representing the data in appropriate manner. So
from the above entire analysis, I was able to attain the aim and objectives of the research project
to know influences of digital technology upon the hotel.
