Innovations that are coming up daily are vital to these organizationsand therefore it is important to be up to date with the technology. However, many organizationsretain most of their workers who in most cases are not updated to the new technologies. This actsas a challenge to the organization since the technology alters the way the entire businessoperates. Therefore, more skills are required for the adoption of the technology. Employeetraining hence becomes relevant for continuity of the organization in this competitiveenvironment. The training enables the employees to acquire knowledge and skills that enhancestheir productivity. As stated by Slavic, Berber and Lekovic (2014), training measures positivelyaffects productivity. The organization managers organize and facilitate the training. Thisdevelops and motivates the employees and makes them aware of their responsibilities in the job.Though it takes the organization to properly budget for their employees training programs, ithelps to increase their performance in their respective roles. It is unfortunate that mayorganization do not embrace the aspect of training their employees and this reduces theirprofitability and also increases the cost of hiring new workers to enhance productivity. Asasserted by Elnaga and Imran (2014), organizations should invest in training their workers toenhance their competence in these uncertain eras.Impact of employee training to an organizationAs affirmed by Obisi (2011), the aim of the training is adding value to the employees. Ifthe program does not add value, the program is therefore not relevant and ought to be cancelled.However, firms that realizes the benefits and enjoys high profits prioritizes these trainings. Thetraining has positive impact to the organization.

It is observed thatmost of employees may not be well acquainted with their job descriptions. This results to poorperformance which directly indicates failure to the organization. For instance, for newly hiredemployee who are fresh from school, they normally face the challenge of transferring the theoryread in class to the practical field. Operating new systems that they have never encounteredbefore intimidates them and reduces their self-esteem (Kotey and Folker, 2007). As accordingtoAguinis and Kraiger (2009), on-job-training leads to greater innovations and tacit skills. Itchanges the trainee knowledge and mental models that acts as a motivation and increases theirdetermination to work as per the training received or even more (Lambrechts, Mula, Ceuleman,Molderez and Gaeremynck, 2013).Training increases the employee’s capabilities andcompetence. This is normally reflected to their performance in the respective role which isreflected in the organization productivity and profits. Since performance is influenced by jobsatisfaction, knowledge and management, the training enhances the smooth running of thebusiness operations and positively creates job satisfaction to the employee and enhancesmanagement and this reflects increase performance (Asfaw, Argaw and Bayissa, 2015).Decreases operational costIt is evident that when employees work with less or no knowledge of their job, there ishigh probability of damages to the equipment and other resources. This therefore leads to highcost of maintenance and repairs to the organization. However, the training creates awareness ofthe resources to be used during the operations and information on how to properly use them andprotect them from damages is passed to the workers. Therefore, confidence is created in the
