Educating labour force should be a frequent practice in any firm to ensure the durability and success of any organization, due to the frequently changing technological advancement. Training should be done to all newly recruited employees to enable them acquire and improve their knowledge and understanding of the job. It is also necessary to facilitate regular training to the existing workers especially on how to cope-up with upcoming challenges and trends in the market. There are many teaching methods that are used by various organizations depending on their convenience to the firm. The commonly used techniques is, on job training, where an employee is educated at the place of work by a more skilled personnel.There are a number of benefits that come along with training employees to an organization. Since skilled persons have the knowledge required in manufacturing procedures, wastage of raw materials and time is limited. It also makes employees feel confident in handling machines and motivated to offer services in their respectiveareas of work, leading to an increase in production. Knowledge and skills on machine handling helps the operators to minimize damages and related accidents, this in turn, reduces the cost of maintenance and repair. Additionally, a single trained employee is likely to acquire a number of skills, for instance, a doctor with both surgical and gynecology knowledge is able to run the two departments in a health institution compared to one who is just trained on one of the sectors. This helps organizations reduce the cost of labour while maximizing production at a low cost.
