INTRODUCTION Human resource management is an essential process which is used by enterprises toimprove their worker’s performance. The main roles and responsibilities of HR manager isselecting, recruiting and developing new candidates. HR manger of business provide differenttraining and development programs to candidates. (Human resource management, 2017). Majorpurpose of HRM is to increase the organisation’s productivity by optimizing the employee’seffectiveness. This project is based on topic “HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT” as well as threecase studies based on Woodhill College, TESCO and ITV. In the present report, differentpurposes and functions of HRM with strengths and weaknesses of various recruitment andselection approaches will be discussed.Benefits of various HRM practices and their effectivenessdescribed in this report. These practices rising the organisation productivity and profit which isalso analysed in this report. Employees relation is very important in decision making process,key elements of employment legislation and their effect which is also determined in thisassignment. . TASK 1P1 & M1 HRM functions and purpose with regard to workforce planning and resourcingHRM is the best concept of every organisation because it support managers in increasingproductivity and profitability of business. Main role and responsibility of this departmentmanger to give best development and training programs to employees. So in this they canincrease their knowledge and skills in order to achieve objective. It is very essentials for theemployer to identify their duties in an effective way. From the same, they can supportWoodhill College in order to maximise its profit. Utilization of human resource practice is moreimportant for the handler to recruit right person at correct place (Barney and et. al., 2011). Thereare various functions of HRM are as follows:Planning: It is first and essentials function which is follows by every organisation in theprocess of recruitment and selection. HR manger makes different strategies and plans sobusiness activity can be operated in a systematic way. With the help of this elements citedcollege fill their vacant position.

In thisprocess they hire knowledge person as per the mentioned company requirements. Training and development: Woodhill College manger are capable to give variousprograms related to teachers such as training and development. With the help of thisfunction they can maximise their skills and knowledge as well as teach their student in anessentials way. Compensation: This function define the employer role in giving advantages andcompensation. It is very important for the human resource manager. Company workersare also known as main assets. It is a main duty of manger to give fair remuneration totheir employees in order to achieve high growth and success. Purpose of HRM: There are several purpose of human resource management which areimportant in increasing productivity and profitability of the company. There are several aimwhich have cited College are as follows: Workers motivation: One of the main aim of human resource department to motivatetheir workers with the help of best training, development and other programs (Boxall andPurcell, 2011). Correct communication is very important for every business to achieve highproductivity and profitability.
