1. Introduction
Bid Taxi is a taxi service that improves the ride sharing services. The Bid taxi services
does not work on a pre fixed rate but the rate is based on time and distance. In order to set the
rate for a particular journey, Bid Taxi makes use of bidding services for the rides. In this service,
the customer has to state the start and end point of the journey, the time for the journey and the
number of people associated with the journey in order to get a taxi. The system associated with
Bid Taxi then broadcast the details provided by the customer to the taxi drivers within ten
minutes. After this, an estimated cost of the ride will be provided to the customers and the
customers will be able to see in real time the responses set by the drivers. This project is initiated
in order to provide to the passengers with the hassle free and cost effective services. The report
discusses in brief the entire business operation of the Ministry of the Public Transportation in
providing the Bid Taxi services (Agussurja & Lau, 2012). This service is expected to automate
the process of providing taxi services to the passengers. The report further recommends certain
features that can be incorporated in the Bid taxi services in order to enhance the business
processes.
2. Outline of the Business Operation in Ministry of Public Transportation
The project of Ministry of Public Transportation is a development of a web and mobile
application named Bid Taxi that will improve the ride sharing services. The existing taxi system
is based on a prefixed rate, and this project is expected to replace the service by providing a
better and cost effective riding experience for the clients (Weng et al., 2017).

The project Bid Taxi can be described as a platform that will provide an on demand app
or web booking services that will allow the customers and the drivers to have an opportunity to
connect to the competitiveness and control. It is capable of changing the existing rules that is in
use for sometime (Chen, 2014).
The main objective of this taxi service is to improve the ride sharing experience, which is
beneficial from the business point of view as well. The business operation of Bid taxi is
simplified by allowing on the certified drivers to participate in the bidding process (Wang, Cheu
& Lee, 2014). This ensures that the customers will not face any problem in their journey and this
in turn will engage more customers with the application.
Ministry of the Public Transportation in order to enhance their business operation,
incorporated a star rating system for both the customer and the driver. This rating system will
allow the Ministry of Public health in identifying the different loopholes associated with service
that will further help the organization in improving or modifying the services provided to the
client. This feedback system is one of the major tools of enhancing the business operation as the
customers or even the drivers in this case will be able to voice out their opinion about the
services offered to them. This will in turn increase the customers’ and the drivers’ satisfaction.
More the satisfied a customer is, more they will engage themselves with the service
(Pueboobpaphan, Indra-Payoong & Pueboobpaphan, 2018). This will in turn increase the profit
of the organization as well.
The Ministry of public Health has ensured that the passengers who do not have an access
to the Smartphone can also use the service with the help of the website. This is another major
business tool that the Ministry of Public Health has used to target a large section of audiences.
