Game Design INTRODUCTION Plagiarism is an improper use of someone else’s work with or without their permission and without giving proper credit to the original person who has done the work. In the give report a game has been designed in order to develop strategies that can help inavoidingplagiarismandavoidingacademic misconduct.Thereportwillalsoincludethe importanceofacademicmisconductandthe importance of avoiding it. Instructions of game This game is designed in order to check or increase the knowledge of students regarding plagiarism and academic misconduct. Firstly, the students will be divided into two groups of equal numbers. There will be a coin with one side of heads ad one side of tails. the two groups have to choose oneside eachand each side will have two questionsaboutacademicmisconductand plagiarism. The correct answer will get 200 points and the wrong answer will get no points. There will be a tie breaker point where the question will contain 250 point for correct answer but 300 points for wrong answer. The risk taker can win or lose. Academic integrity It refers to putting honesty in work and taking responsibility of the work that an individual is doing. It refers to collecting information ethically and not to take unfair advantage of someone else’shardwork.Theimportanceofacademicintegrityisthatitdevelopsethicsand trustworthiness in students and will allow them to learn new things. Plagiarism is against the morale and can affect the reputation of the one using it badly. Academic misconduct refers to the set of activities and workings tat are against the rules and norms of the institute or university. It can also be known as academic dishonesty. Reflection of skills The first skill that is required to design a game is of creative thinking. The more creativity involved the more will be fun. The ability to maintain balance between fun and logic is also one of the skills that is required. CONCLUSION From the above report it is concluded that academic integrity and ethics are very important for individuals. It is not good to use anyone else’s hard work and present it as own work without their permission.
