INTRODUCTION
Internet is a network which is available globally all over the world which provides information
and communication to variety of users using networks which are interconnected by protocols which are
standardize (Fink, 2019). Here in the study key terms associated with the internet will be discussed.
Comparing and contrasting of the internet will be done with positive as well as negative use of internet.
The online threats which are faced by organization as well as society and the measures to resolve them
will be studied by conducting online research. Two communication network providers will be selected as
TESCO and A T&T and the features, application and suitability will be discussed in detail.

There are various key terms associated with the internet and the same are as follows:
World Wide Web
WWW is the collection of the data which is stored and shared over the space which is digital.
The collection of the information is done by connecting the two websites and then the information is
divided into web pages (Askar, Amazon Technologies Inc, 2019). Organization uses this to create
different web pages over which detail information is shared in detail over each web page of the product
and services. The society uses web page in order to serve the details of the product and services and
selects the best suited product for the use.
Web Browser
Web browser is the medium though which the information can be reached to the society as well
as organization. Organization used to build their own website in which the details of the business are
shared and the same helps the society to reach over the information. The basic details of the company
are name of the company, address of the company, information about what they do etc.
E-mail
E-mail is a medium of communication in which the short and formal information is shared by the
society as well as business which helps them to effectively communicate by successfully delivering and
receiving of message. For Business Email is used to convey its employees bulk information where as for
society it is used for the delivering social messages such as lunch, dinner, etc.
Web hosting
Web hosting helps the business by creating access to the website by which the website of the
company become visible to the searcher (Stuckey. and Ellis, 2019). Web hosting also allows storing
data over the internet in a website. For society web hosting can be done for making personal blogs and
sharing social information.

Search engine
It is a program that identifies as well as searches the database which is correspondent to
particular keyword or character. Search engine is present over the top of the web browser which allows
the users which can be organization or society to search the required information. Now the information
can be searched in voice in which the language which is spoken can be selected and the result similar to
the spoken language will be shown.

Internet can be used to do research of a product and the same can be used to design a product.

performing indicators of the business.
Internet can be used for doing communication of the business information to large number of

cost effective way of doing communication and also there are various features using the internet such as
video conferencing, graphics, etc. which allows the business to do face to face communication with the
employees.
Negative use of internet to business
The negative use of internet of the business is internet can be used to steal the sensitive
information of the business such as business secretes. Using internet illegal information can be found
which is not good for the company to make decision and if reliable source is not there then it can result
in loss to the business.
Using internet can attract viruses to the company which can result in delete of important
information of the business and also replication of the information can be done due to which the
originality of the data can be lost.
Positive use of internet to Society
Internet use helps the people connect with the society via social media (Ben-Daya, Hassini.
and Bahroun, 2019). Where they can share post regarding travelling, cooking, and various lovely
moments. Learning of several courses such as digital marketing, programming etc. with the use of
internet.
Internet use can help the society by doing online shopping in which the audience can select the
product of their choice and easily do comparison of various products. They can buy the best product
which is cost effective and more attractive. The positive use of internet for the society is the society can

travel all over the world using Google maps, in which they can go seeing the pathways and the time to
reach the desired destination.
Negative use of internet to Society
Watching of excessive porn sites and video using internet can be very harmful for the health and
can lead to stress among the mind of individuals. Social bullying using internet can create hatred among
the individuals and also the same can result in riots and harmful activities.
Comparing and contrasting
Comparing internet positive and negative side internet is good if it is used in a good way and
under the time limit but the same any be dangerous if it is used excessively (Britt. and Zimmerman,
Afero Inc, 2019). Internet has made life easy and comfortable for the humans but it is also dangerous
as lot of hackers and attackers are available over the internet that can attack and steal information.

Spam is a most common threat in which junk mail is forwarded to the businesses which contains
malware. Opening of those emails are very dangerous for the company and can lead to losses in the
business.
Trojan leaves the data of the computer completely unprotected of the business in which the
hackers can steal the information. Trojan contains some complex programs by which the hackers cannot
be detected and they can penetrate the computer (Chang. and Woo, 2019). Trojan can be very
harmful for the business and can result in hacking of financial information of the company.
Worms are the threat which enters the computer by email using the USB. Whoever the system
will open the email the worms will be spreader all over the centralized system. This will result in having
control over the centralized emails and the hacker will know what is the email information shared
between the company and the same can misuse the information for the personal benefit.
Adware is another harmful threat over the internet in which the business are shown unwanted
ads and the after clicking on those ads the link of the ads drives the business to the malware area where
the marketing strategy of the business and the marketing information can be stolen.
Threats to society
Virus is the most common and frequently occurred threat for the society. Virus spread in the
system like electricity and automatically deletes the information or the data stored in the computer
(Cella, Duffy. and McGuckin, 2019). Virus generally enters in the computer by downloading games,
videos, inserting CDs and DVDs. The society must visit the website or the link which authenticated
otherwise it can be very dangerous for them.

Phishing is a threat in which very similar website are made and then sent to the users. The same
is done generally by creating a fake bank website in which lucrative offers are shown such as open bank
account online with higher rate of interest. The people used to get trap under such fake schemes and
same results in letting know the banking details to the stealers. This results in loss of finance which is
invested by them due to following the link. The society must confirm whether the link is authenticated
or not by calling the bank on the toll free number and knowing in much detail about the scheme.
Spyware is a malware which is present over the social media. It enters into the computer or
device and automatically format or delete the data. Society must be careful using those links because
the same link can be very dangerous. Phishing is a pop of downloadable files and all encompassing
internet.

and Kak, 2019). Even if the society users visit the site and due to which viruses enters in the system
antivirus can scan and detect the virus and show the location and the activities due to which virus
entered the computer. This helps the business by making the data and information stored in the
computer remain safe and secure. It is always recommended to purchase a licensed version antivirus
because the same contains various features and premium facilities by which the malware can be easily
deleted. Best antivirus examples are the quick heal, a vast and Norton. Etc.
Password manager is a application of software in which the passwords are stored and kept
secure and in case the password is lost then the password can be found using the software. This
software helps in creating strong password which can be used by the business to make secure their
important business file such as business strategies and business tactics. The society users are also
protected by the software as it become more complex to hack the social media profile of the users by
the hackers. The software keep updating password automatically due to which if the password is found
by the hacker even the person cannot hack the ID of the company due to new password formation or
new password creation.

from the thefts or stealing of data. Safety suits help the company to do safe internet browsing in which

to keep going their operations and which
leads to more client building and more
profit for the business.
 Tesco is better in providing Wi-Fi services
with personal network. The company
assure high speed internet in which
various facilities such as HD video and HD
audio facilities are provided and to the
business. The company is best in the
market for the Wi-Fi.
 Tecso is better in providing email facility
and secured connection is provided along
with that (Askar, Amazon Technologies
Inc, 2019). The business need not to
worry about the leakage of personal
information as the company is having well
connected network which make sure that
the data transferability is safe and secure.

services such as data protection in with
the data is so safe that there are almost

the business can easily edit the
information and share with the clients.

company which helps the business to
quickly upload the information.
Suitability

Tesco is more suitable for providing Wi-Fi and email services whereas A T&T is more suitable for wide
area network and premium quality audio call facility. If it is seen as per the application point of view
Tesco is suitable for data protection and financial software and solution whereas A T&T is suitable for
data base management and word application for the business.
CONCLUSION
As per the study it is concluded that internet plays a very important role in gathering
information and sharing the information to several users. Internet helps the business form marketing
strategy and functional strategy on the basis of competition analysis. Internet helps the society to
socially connect with the people. Internet has pros as well as cons bit if the internet is used for the right
purpose then it can result in making a company profitable and a society rich. There are various threats
which can harm the business as well as society if proper care is not taken. There are various security
tools which are must to be used by the users in order to prevent them from the harm. The different
network have their own pro and cons from which the company can choose the best service.
