INTRODUCTION
Employee relation refers to a legal link within employees and employers within
organisation. Employees represent an essential aspect for every company because they helps in
attaining success by performing in favor of business. Employee relation is concerned with
enhancing commitment in attaining overall organisation goal and objectives within number of
situation (De Stefano and et. al., 2021) . This report is based on Tesco Plc that is one of the
largest British multinational grocery supermarkets in UK. In this company there are around
423092 employees are working in all over the world and focus on maintaining better relation to
attain competitive advantage. This report involves value and importance of employee relation
along with several fundamental employment laws along with valid suggestion. Further it
involves rights, obligations and duties within employee and employer at workplace along with
stakeholder analysis that demonstrate positive relation with employee relationship. At last it
involves positive and negative employee relation on different stakeholder so that high profitable
results are attained on time.

Value and importance of employee relation
Employee relation plays a crucial role within an organisation as it efforts to create and
maintain positive relation with employees (Aloisi and De Stefano, 2020). Therefore by
maintaining positive constructive employee relation company need to focus on keep the
employee loyal and engaged within working environment. In case of Tesco plc there are several
importance and value of employee relation are presented below:
Reduction in turnover- Loosing experienced and skilled employee offer win-win
situation to competitors. In case of Tesco there is positive relation between employee and
employee that satisfy and encourage staff member to become loyal and retain with
organisation for longer time period. This offers a successful result to Tesco as they do not

spend cost on recruiting, hiring and training new candidates (Importance of Employee

Increased productivity- It is another importance of employee relation. Having a positive
employee relation helps in reducing workplace conflicts due to which workers are
engaged within attaining target on time (Harsh and Prasad, 2021). This is beneficial for
Tesco to gain profitable result due to developing productivity of employees.
Fundamental of employment law
It is very crucial aspect at workplace to maintain the employee relation in effective
manner and in favor of profitability of business. This also helps in easily hire, manage and
evaluate employees so that sustainable results are attained by business. In case of Tesco there are
several fundamental of laws which are followed to gain employee satisfaction so that more
productive results are attained on time. Some employment law that Tesco adopts are presented
below:
Bereavement Leave law- It is core fundamental of employment law that provide the
statutory minimum level of paid leaves to those employees who suffer the loss of child. It
is highly beneficial for maintaining employee relation so that they would sustain for a
longer time period at workplace (Piatak and et. al., 2020). For example- In Tesco Plc
human resource manager implement this law where they offer paid leaves to those
employees who lost their child when they continuously work for 26 weeks with a
minimum paid wage in the organisation.
Equality act- This law is adopted by the Tesco at their workplace to attracts the attention
of employees so that they provide productive results to the business success and growth.
in this organisation there is no discrimination is to be done on the basis of caste, color,
religion of people as they appreciate every culture so that workers are satisfied with the
environment (Leighton and McKeown, 2020). For instance- As Tesco is working on
global level where diversified employees are working and to retain for longer time period
manager need to offer equal pay along with providing friendly environment to every
culture people so that productive results are enjoyed by them.
