1INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSIntroduction In the current business scenario, effective business communication plays an importantrole in maintaining and enhancing the effectiveness of the teamwork in the organizations. This isdue to the fact that, the more effective will be the communication among the team members, themore effective will be the team work (Guffey and Loewy 2012). This will enable the teammembers to enhance their mutual understanding among themselves. In addition, initiation of theeffective business communications also helps the organizations to determine the requirement ofthe employees and vice versa. Thus, with having the accurate data and information about therequirement and expectation of the employees, it is being beneficial for the upper levelmanagement to meet the employee’s requirement along enhancing their level of motivation andjob satisfaction in the workplace (Waldeck et al. 2012). Moreover, it is also being consideredthat, ethics is one of the most influential factors that should be noted by the company. This is dueto the reason that, effectiveness of the teamwork will be maximized only when ethical principleswill be followed. Thus, initiation of the effective communication channel in the organization willhelp to enhance the connectivity among the team members. It will eventually refrain the teammembers to opt for any unethical business practices.For the contemporary business organizations, effective business communication is muchimportant due to the fact that, majority of the organizational work is being done on the basis ofteamwork. Thus, having the effective team work among the internal stakeholders is important forthe contemporary business organizations. The more effective will be the communication amongthe employees, the more knowledge will be effectively shared among the internal stakeholders,which will eventually enhance the competitive advantages of the organizations in the market(Wang and Wang 2012).

2INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSThis essay will discuss about the effectiveness and benefits of having the communicationamong the team members for the contemporary business organizations. In addition, variousaspects of team work such as team effectiveness and team performance will also be discussed inthis essay. The role of effective communication in maintaining the ethical principles in the teamwork will be discussed and evaluated in this essay. This report will conclude about theeffectiveness of the communication for the team work along with its importance. Various aspects of team work There are various aspects or dimensions of team work, which should be considered by thebusiness organizations in having the effective team work in the organization. One of the keyfactors that should be considered by the business organizations is the diversity in the team.According to West (2012), diversity is one of the key factors that should be maintained by thebusiness organizations. According to the author, diversity among the team members will help theteam to gather more diverse information regarding any certain issue. Moreover, the authors alsostated that, with the help of the diversity among the team members, more diverse knowledge willbe shared among the employees, which will in turn benefit the organization. Importance of leadership Another dimension of the teamwork that should be maintained by the businessorganizations is the effective leadership quality. According to Braun, Peus, Weisweiler and Frey(2013), leadership plays an important role in enhancing the effectiveness of the team. Accordingto the authors, one of the most important roles being played by the leaders is to maintain theconsensus among the employees. Moreover, it is also the responsibility of the leadership todesign and initiate the organizational culture and structure, which will be most suitable and

The authors have also stated that, it is the key responsibilityof the leaders to motivate their team members in enhancing their effectiveness in theorganization. The more motivated will be the team members in accomplishing their respectivejob, the more effective will be the achievement of the organizational objective (Avolio andYammarino 2013). Conflict management Another dimension of the team work is the team conflict. It is the only negativedimension of the entire concept of the team work. According to this concept, majority of theorganizational teams will face conflict due to the emergence of the difference of opinion amongthe team members. All the team members will come up with different opinions and thus, aconflict will arise. Thus, it is important to have effective communication among the teammembers in order to reduce the probability of the origination of the conflict. According toDeChurch, Mesmer-Magnus and Doty (2013), effective management of the conflict in the teamis important to have the maximized productivity and effectiveness of the team work. Accordingto them, it is the responsibility of the team members to adjust with the opposite opinions andsuggestions of other team members. The authors also stated that, the team leaders should alsoplay an important role in maintaining the consensus among the team members, which will helpthe team to prevent the issue of difference in conflict. Thus, according to them, the moreeffective will be the consensus among the team members, the more effective will be the teamperformance. In this case also, communication plays an important role due to the reason that, if thecommunication among the team members is effective, only then the opinion and suggestion of
