INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is a process which involves managing human resources of
company. Human resource management involve framing strategies related to the development
and growth of the employee's of company (Taamneh, Alsaad and Elrehail, 2018). This report is
based on the case study of Vodafone company. Company was established in the year 1991 by
Ernest Harrison and Gerry Whent. Company operate its business operations in
telecommunication sector. Henceforth, this report will emphasis over HRM practices apply in
Vodafone company to sustain and grow the human resources of the company. This report will
project the contribution of HRM practices in strategic management of the company.
Furthermore, this report will also conduct reflective analysis about the career management and
performance management tools. Associated theories related to performance management and
career management will also discuss to gain competitive advantage in the market.

HRM practices involve framing strategies and policies for the growth and development of
human resources in organisation. Management of human resource in Vodafone company make
various strategies and policies in order to expand the growth potential of employee's of the
company. Human resource management practices provide the following importance to grow and
develop human resources of the company.
Meet human needs: Human resource management of Vodafone company play effective role in
meeting the needs of the company related to the human resources at different positional role in
company (Wickramasinghe and Wickramasinghe, 2017). Human resource management of
Vodafone company run both internal and external recruitment process to fulfil the requirements
of the company related to the human resources of company. Effective human resource is among
the key requirements of the company management to meet and cope up with all objectives of
company. If the employee's of the company are not efficient enough then they would not deliver
the productive operations. Operational efficiency play crucial role in getting the productive and
profitable operations of company.

Meet organisation objectives: Human resource management play key role in achieving
objectives and goals of company. Operations of the Human resource management like
recruitment and selection, training and development enables company management to cope up
with the needs and requirements of the company related to the human resources (Kim and
Cooke, 2018). Training and development function operate by Human resource management
department in Vodafone company enable employees of company to operate more efficient
operational activities of company. IN order to meet the goals and objectives of company
efficiency of human resources of company play crucial role.
Improving profitability: Human resource management of Vodafone company also play crucial
role in improving the profitability of the company. Profitability is denoted as the outcomes of the
operational functions of the company. Role of human resource management department in
Vodafone company is to provide and grow the employee's of the company with respective
functions like training and development and recruitment and selection and other operational
functions. Company management can cope up with the estimated profitability of the company
only with the support of human resources of the company.
Performance evaluation: Human resource management also conduct the performance
evaluation function to assess and evaluate the productivity of employee's of Vodafone company.
Performance evaluation involve assessing productivity of employee's in operation organisation
functional activities (Yang, Konrad and Corbett, 2018). Performance evaluation is among the
crucial functional role human resource management of Vodafone company conduct. As far as
growth and development of employees are concerned it also immensely depends upon the
productivity of employee's. Performance evaluation support the internal recruitment process
occurred in Vodafone company. It enables company management to appoint potential and skilled
employee's at higher positions in company. This process effectively guide the management of
Vodafone company about all the potential work force of the company. Having potential and
skilled employee's at higher positional roles in company play crucial role in the further growth
and development opportunities of company. AS the potential employee's can improve the
decision-making of the company in regard to business operations as well as sustainability of
