INTRODUCTION Management consist important role in every business success. In this regard, every business get success and accomplish their goals as well. Therefore, it requires to arrange factors that helps to increase significant advantages in the business. With this regard, several resources also integrates towards achievement of pre-determined goals (Davidson, Van Dam and Finlayson, 2018). Without proper management, no one business can easily cope up with desired level of outcomes. Present study based on Imperial hotel which is successfully operated in different aspects to attain desired level of outcomes. In this regard, they considered well known international branded chain with 4 star hotel. Different types of facilities provided by the organisation to capture value and attract several people easily. Furthermore, staff members also provide different types of services to satisfy customers. For gaining insight information of the present report, it covers problem that face by Imperial hotel which is high staff turnover. There are 80% of staff leaving the organisation in this year. Therefore, productivity reduced and cost increases for training and development in the selected business. In this study, individual problem will be solved with determining appropriate solution for it. Theory and concept also implemented that helps to deal appropriate findings. At last, it includes findings from the analysis. ANALYSIS OF INDIVIDUAL REPORT Summarise problem of Imperial hotel In Imperial hotel, there is high staff turnover in present year which increase several issue and problem at workplace. Due to temporary nature of employment and low wage rate. In front line staff, turnover is very high because they get very few amount of wage. From the exit interview, it has been identified that different number of issues take place in the business. For example, there is poor perception of work culture in the hotel because of aggressive nature of supervisor (Hofmeijer, Gerowitt and Melander, 2016). There is no proper management of working hours so that it increase several issues and problems regarding staff members. As they are unable to do their other personal work because of lack of proper time management. 1
Furthermore, there is no training session properly work to increase efficiency and capabilities in systematic way. With this regard, it can be stated that management is poor in the business. Moreover, there is poor pay level as compared to other retailing sector so that staff members are not getting appropriate amount. As a result, it impact negatively on the business functions and operations. Furthermore, it is essential to concentrate on dealing with regular update and provide training to staff members to increase their efficiency (Bratton and Gold, 2017). In addition to this, in Imperial hotel there is little opportunities for promotion and bonuses. There is high travelling cost exists that create major impact on work in central areas of London market. Hence, staff members face issue to transport home at night. As a result, it is also reason of high turnover in the business. There are several numbers of young and talented people left job and they work with competitors of the chosen organisation. This is because, they are paying better wages, working environments and many other benefits. Due to this reason, staff turnover puts directly pressure on staffing budget because cost of the Imperial hotel is also high. This is because, they need to continuously employ new staff members at workplace because of turnover (Raj and Griffin, 2015). As a result, it also increase cost of induction programme which impact on overall quality of services that provided to guest. Experienced staff members will lead with more effective production towards their guest and provide better services. However, un-experienced people cannot lead in better manner. It impact on diminishing guest number in the business. It create major effect on overall business which affect staff members, guest and many other consideration. It increased pressure on the chosen business and reduce their popularity in all over the London market. Culture of turnover lead with the increased pressure that results in decreasing pool of promotable staff and managers. Implement management theory towards problem In Imperial hotel, there are several issues occurred due to which high turnover in the business exists. In this regard, it can be stated that following are different theories must be implemented at workplace: Goal setting theory: Goals assists to properly focus on work to accomplish things that are important to Imperial hotel. Goals setting theory is advanced that helps to effectively managed person’s time. This theory is also based on premise that a person is more motivated in Imperial hotel to perform clear and specific goals. Extrinsic and intrinsic reward: In Imperial, there is no reward system considered for staff members so that they feel very sad to do work. This concept must be taken in the selected business to increase productivity and efficiency of the people. It also integrated and consist policies, processes practices to implement system within the business environment. They are followa: Provide incentives program in the business: In order to deal with effective work, in Imperial hotel manager need to concentrate on providing incentive to their staff members. It assists to concentrate on increase efficiency of employees at workplace. With the help of high level performances, each staff member need to get benefit of their participation. As a result, more profits and revenue will be continue develop that ascertained with desired level of outcomes at workplace(Berg,ManiandWalsh,2015).Thecompanyshouldfocusonemployee performances and provide them benefit according to their participation. Hire the right people: Furthermore, Imperial hotel need to concentrate on employees performances to recruit right person at workplace. This is because, they are facing problems of high staff turnover which reduce profits and revenue of the organisation. Furthermore, staff members are not satisfied with rules and regulations of the organisation so that they need to set excellent work with using creative program to satisfy their staff members.Moreover, report determines reasons due to 80% staff members left their job in this year. In the business, promotion opportunities is not effective which reduce efficiency and motivation level of staff members. In this regard, it can be said that the selected business need to concentrate on tools and techniques that helps to deal with reducing turnover. In addition to this, report summarized about different theories that helps to make appropriate solution for staff turnover. There has been seen no proper time management facilities allowed for all staff members so that it increase issue and problems towards dealing with employees in effective manner. In this way, it can be stated that different ways helps to focus on each employee requirement in appropriate manner. Moreover, it articulated about solution to the problems. Hence, with proper implementation of reward system and time management helps to deal with each employee requirement at workplace. It helps to focus on attainment of goals and objectives in the business and reduce high turnover as well. 5
