1.0 Analyzing business goals and objectives
The business goals of Hosted Desktop Solutions (HDS) is to provide hosted open source IT
solutions to small as well as medium sized enterprises. The objective is to undertake of business
IT analysis along with suggestions of IT solutions to resolve the issues and problems into HDS.
2.0 Evaluation of old system actual data and metadata, organizational policies
The current infrastructure of HDS is ad-hoc affair which is not able to meet with the
demands into current growth. The networking capacity of HDS is 4 years old which is used for
networking, storage, sharing of files along with legacy hosted applications for the customers
(Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017). The customer management system is mixed of paper which is based
on excel files from beginnings of the company. Telephony becomes insufficient and helpdesk
email monitoring in addition to response management is under a high pressure. The systems are
not maintained properly while the application development is slowed considerably.
3.0 Investigation of issues to determine business problem
Into HDS, the market of cloud computing services is expanded, IT expenditure is not.
The company has some resource capacity issues into areas of the business such as knowledge
management, human, organizational, planning, budgets, then the company’s revenue is not
increasing to enable resource investment, then the staffs are not feeling strains. HDS is operated
under small family business culture (Verzuh, 2015). Roles as well as responsibilities of the team
members are not defined properly. The IT client service turnaround are getting longer and the
customer relationship are placed on ole clients as new clients are being prioritized. There is also
