IT management can be stated as the core procedure to oversee each and
every matter that is associated with information technology resources and operations
in any specific IT organization (Schwalbe, 2015). Outback Safari Tours is a full
service coach organization with 25 offices that are located in NT, WA, SA, QLD and
NSW. They have been providing variety of multi day tours and excellent services.

relevant recommendations for service improvement.
2. Discussion
2.1 Brief Description of Case Study with Assumptions
Mainland Safari Tours will be an amalgamation of two significant coach tour
companies, namely, Outback Safari Tours and Mainland Express. Outback Safari
Tours is a full service coach company that has 25 offices in different locations and a
fleet of new coaches that carry 50 passengers each. On the other hand, Mainland
Express is a lower cost coach company that comprises of 10 offices in four locations
and the strengths include low cost fares and on time services. Moreover, even they
have a fleet of new coaches that carry 55 passengers each. The combined company
of these two organizations would be retaining every existing staff, coach, tour and
destination and the current scheduling would not be conflicting. The traditional
system of Outback Safari Tours is being merged into advanced system of Mainland
Express. They would even begin service as the premium based lower cost carrier
with every facility like seating, drinks, Wi Fi, baggage, meals and carry on luggage

advantage of this particular system is that no extra costs or expenses would be
incurred under any circumstance and the organization would be highly profited and
benefitted. Moreover, they want to merge the traditional system of Outback Safari
Tours with the latest advancements of Mainland Express so that the new
technologies are being implemented in the business for providing more efficiency,
however by following traditional rules and customs (Laudon & Laudon, 2015).
The second management decision in the organization is to begin a service as
a premium on the basis of low cost carrier (Laudon & Laudon, 2016). It is again
another effective decision for the business success as the customers will not have to
pay excess fare for getting any type of service from Mainland Safari. They would
also be provided with amenities like Wi Fi, meals, drinks, baggage and many more
and it would also move to the low cost coach terminals, whenever available
