Title:
Everything About Our Sense Organs
Lesson Summary and
Focus:
A lesson regarding the different sense organs in a human body will be
conducted. Students will be encouraged to identify and feel the five
senses in their bodies. Objects will be presented to them that will be
identified with their senses.

Factors/Grouping:
Maximum children are five years of age. The class has a majority of weak
English learners. It also has a majority of low and middle socioeconomic
status. Most of the children are healthy. Few are visually impaired and
suffer from hearing disability. Therefore, the lesson will be planned,

keeping the need for every child in mind. Visuals and sounds will be used
for gifted children.

The following two standards will be followed while taking a class on the
human sense organs.
 Recognise and describe patterns
 Use variables to express relationship
Specific Learning
Target(s)/Objectives:
The students will be able to
 Understand the five different sense organs in their body
 They will understand the vocabulary of each organ
 They will be able to make out the difference between the five
senses.
 They will be able to identify different objects with their senses.
Academic Language Before starting the lesson, children will be taught some of the academic
meanings that we will come across in the lesson. The words will include

 Organs- help us to stay alive
 Senses- Helps us to feel an object
 Smell- to explore the scent of an object
While explaining the meaning of organs, I will describe the other parts of
the body that help us to work correctly. Senses can be explained by giving
the example of hot water. While the meaning of scent will be explained
with the use of powder and perfume.
Resources, Materials,
Equipment, and
Technology:
A variety of materials will be used while explaining the lesson to the
students. They are as follows:
 Food items, keeping in mind the allergic students.
 Small toys
 Perfume
 YouTube recording that has visuals and sounds.
 3D toys will be used for gifted children who can identify the
objects with the help of their senses.
